Welcome
Welcome to our Island where everyone knows everyone. Welcome to our Island where if I do not know you I must know someone who knows you or someone who knows who knows you yet fugitive will elude the authority for years or forever.
Welcome to the Island of many churches where many are religious yet the devil found its domain in the hearts of many.
Welcome to our Island where many will leave from their homes and from their places of work to the places of worships to clap and sing themselves into torpor while the criminals run amok in the streets.
Welcome to our Island and enjoy the sun, the sea, the sand, the sex and the sensemania- the high grade weed with us well aware that at the end you will leave us in the hands of the criminals.
Welcome to our Island where many years gone by, many brave men and woman gave their lives for the freedom of their people, but at present many are not willing to shade even a drop of their sweat for the good of all and to nurture that freedom.
Welcome to our Island. Welcome to the Island of the heroes gone, but at present, their children have deemed their efforts effortless by giving them a grand-generation contaminated with degenerates.
Welcome to our youthful Island where hope had been taken away from the youths and their minds are been filled with hopelessness and many of the youths found recourse in crime and violence.
Welcome to our Island where one of our most cherished treasures; our music and culture had been converted into an avenue to disseminate vulgarities and violence.
Welcome to the Island of the good. Welcome to our Island that is filled with good people but the few bad ones are eclipsing the good efforts of the good ones.
Welcome to our Island where the few bad ones with their criminal and violent acts are running amok and threatening to take over the Island while the good citizens wallow in fear and in disunity.
Welcome to our Island where entertainment, sports and social media had joined religion or had taken over from religion as the opium to the masses, and that opium had sedated the conscience of many, blighted their minds and had blinded their sights that they had become oblivious of the sufferings of their nearest neighbors, and had become more concern of the well being of their favorite sports person’s or favorite entertainer’s pet.
Welcome to our Island where we no longer lend a helping hand to our suffering neighbors rather we take pictures, make videos and post their sufferings on the social media, photo shop them and make mockery of them and their miseries just for a few likes, tags, shares and comments.
Welcome to our Island where the grumpy, the grabby and the crampy, the creepy, the crafty and the chatty reign supreme. The grumpy complains about everything and for nothing. The grabby grabs and wants everything for himself. The crampy cramps your style and will want to stiffen your progress. The creepy instills fear in the minds of the people while he commits mayhem in the society. The crafty will cheat, genial and scam many, and the chatty will chat about all, and everything and does nothing.
Welcome to our beautiful Island. Our beautiful has many features that many other nations do not have. It also lacks many things that many other nations have, but it has one thing that every other nation has; it has crime and violence; domestic violence and spousal abuse, their negative consequences and their rising tendencies. Crime and violence is a global phenomenon; it is present in every society, it is more prevalent in some societies than in the others, but its negative consequences remain the same in all societies.
Welcome to our sunshine Island of no problems but many with their problems welcome the sunrise and bid adieus to the sunset still with their problems.
Welcome to our happy and sunshine Island where the sun shines daily, but to one of its citizens May-May, just like many other citizens not even a ray of that sunshine and happiness in many years has penetrated into her mind.
The rays of the sunshine and of the happiness was blocked from entering into her mind by violence; in particular by domestic violence and spousal abuses just as it had done to the minds of many in the society, and many in the society just as May-May wonder and asked ‘’ why, why, why this surge of crime and violence in our sunshine Island’’, and many just as she, the answers elude their minds while the answers steered at them daily in their faces.
That violence, that violence that darkened her mind was perpetuated on her by her husband, her once a time prince charming, once a time loving husband and the father of her children.
Welcome to To kill the Mongrel.
(A decent way to kill)
