Not my cup of tea

"Well, I expected something better than this... And I feel kind of bad posting this negative review, considering how much I liked the first book. I feel bad about writing this too. Firstly what I liked, were the few well placed jokes that made me giggle, Im talking about aunt Gigi, she was amazingly funny and all those between Megan and Sam, nice. But still this one, was not my cup of tea... The writing style hadn't improved one bit, from the first book, it was plain, too much dialogue, and absolutely no descriptions. Also as this was written from the first person POV, the author could've easilly gone deeper into the characters emotions, their mind and through out the book I kept wishing, that it would be done... However my wishes went down the drain... And the thing, that ticked me off just as well, maybe even more, was the lack of suspense. That was what I absolutely adored about assisting miss Adams, Sam's rebelious side, the drug trafficing, Sam's past and insecurities, the fights with Shay, the problem with the addict... Those were the things that made me love that book, and unfortunately this one had none of that.. Furthermore, side characters, yes we met new characters in here, the only problem, that they weren't explored, they were left like white sheets of paper, no appearance, no backstory, no personality traits.. The worst thing, I had wanted that, because i thought since these were one shots, it would be a perfect time to explore them, alas, no... All in all, I wish the best to the author, and your future projects, and thank you again for 'Assisting miss Adams'."
