Gone
Now that you’re gone, the silence of your voice is overwhelming. I think to when you made me laugh, when you made me smile, it felt my whole world lit brighter than any torch. Your touch warmed my skin, your kiss electrified, sending shivers spreading throughout me. To be wrapped in your arms pushed the world away and I was content to be with only you. But life sometimes gets in the way and love suffers. A choice was made and now you’re gone and I can’t breathe, the pain of losing you has devoured me.
