It was night time, there was a storm raging on outside. A wife was sitting at the window, waiting for her husband to get back home from work. He was supposed to be home 13 min. ago even though he got off of work 5 hours ago. Today was their 13 year anniversary. He had broken another empty promise to her. She sighed and tried his cell phone again, and again, all she got was his voicemail. He always did this, it was always the same with him. Ever since he became one of the richest men in the world, he no longer had time for her and the love she had for him. She looked back out to the window and watched the clouds that were matching her mood.
Meanwhile, at the local bar two blocks away, her husband sat with his friends. They were all laughing and throwing their money around. The waiter came by again with a tray of drinks, this was their 13th round. When one of his friends mentioned the ringing of his phone, he ignored it. In his head he was thinking that he’d buy her a ring or some other jewellery in the morning to make up for it. He had the money to buy her forgiveness after all. While he continued to drink with his friends, his wife had hailed a taxi and decided to go looking for him.
The wife’s taxi had just pulled up in front of the bar when a woman had placed herself on her husband’s lap. Not believing what she was seeing with her own eyes, she waited for him to push the barely dressed woman off, he didn’t. Her chest tightened at the sight before she stormed into the bar. Grabbing the drink off the table, she threw it into his face and walked out angrily. The husband muttered a curse under his breath as he rushed outside to meet her. He started to apologize, telling her how he would buy her anything she wanted. That wasn’t what she wanted him to say, he was trying to buy her and she wasn’t having it.
Just a block away, a red car was speeding. In the driver’s seat sat a very drunk man. He was flying pass every red light, stop sign, and yield. The wife was now trying to catch a taxi’s attention. All she wanted to do was go home, pack her bags, and leave this money hungry man. The husband began to plead, saying that he couldn’t be a successful business man without a wife. He only cared about his image. Taxi 13 pulled up to the curb and she slid inside. Seeing her drive away seem to bring something out in him as he tried to chase after her. Before he could, the light turned green and the taxi was driving. Then the red car came flying out of nowhere; then there was a collision.
