"Holy. Shit. I love the plot and how it is developing. I think the author could have left the story in a little bit more fantastical realm. I keep being jarred with the references to modern times, like the flights and modern medicine. Otherwise I love it! "

Complex world, unfinished though
"This book is rather complex, the author drew a complete world with social structures and a lot of chars in it. The Plot may be old (ruthless person kills family to become King, to be overthrown years later by hidden heirs) but the way to get there makes the difference. Unfortunatly this is only 3/4 of the book. And while the author writes flawlesss in grammar and spelling, the style often comes across as rather stiff and unnatural. The complex world is, to begin with, very confusing, one needs time to get into it. But then it is really interesting, which makes the current end even more annoying. On a sidenote, despite a strong female char, one often gets the feeling that females are only there to breed. Something that seems obvious in this world, but has a disturbing taste to it."
