her lips were always red and glossy, almost as if she had just sucked the blood out of someone. prologue

watching her dance in sync with the music made him feel at ease, even though he was falling behind on his own moves, and earned questioning stares from the choreographer as he tried to focus on his own moves. he tried twice as hard to contain himself, and to not let himself get distracted by her blood red lips. her dark black hair against her fair skin was so hard not to look at, though. taking deep breaths, he closed his eyes, humming along to the music playing as he swiftly got back into the rhythm, and was no longer being distracted by her flawless figure. once the dance was over, the choreographer smiled, and complimented everyone on their form, telling them if they kept practicing, they would get better, and a win in the competition would be guaranteed.

“i think it’s about time that we start wrapping things up. you all did so well today, all of you are getting better, just keep on practicing,” the instructor smiled.

the class said their goodbyes and went to their bags located in the back of the room. he noticed her smiling to herself, gliding across the floor as if it were ice. once she reached her bag, she pulled out a water bottle, water drops dripping down the side as she shook the ice filled bottle in her hand.

he decided if this class was going to work together to beat the opposing team in the competition, he should at least talk to her. so as he wiped sweat from his forehead using the back of his hand, he walked over to her. he took a deep breath, being confused as to why he was nervous, and tapped her shoulder. she jumped a little, and set her water bottle down, and turned around. she smiled and swallowed the water that was in her mouth, his eyes on her throat as she gulped down the cold liquid.

he smiled, his mouth turning into a heart shape as his lips curled upward in a friendly manner, his eyes squinting, showing it was a genuine action.

from this point on, her life would change. slowly at first, but as the two became more and more friendly, she noticed changes in everything, her life, his life, and the atmosphere around them.

they looked into each other’s eyes, before he slowly bent down at a ninety degree angle, her eyes following his body. when he stood back up straight, that smile was still on his face.

“hello. i’m hoseok.”
