Chapter 1

At the bottom of all of this pain is there anger? My stomach has hurt every single day for a week, is it my nerves? Am I constantly tired because I’m emotionally drained?

I’m thankful I’m not depressed or thinking about suicide... but it’s only day three of three months and then four years. I wonder how long it will take to get my stuff back. In the back of my head I wish that none of this was happening...

I dropped the pen as my tears dripped onto the paper, “I’m dwelling again,” I shoved myself away from the desk, “I promised myself I would only write positive things.” I sighed and stood up, and walked across my room, thank goodness I had cleaned it before all this happened.

I stood in front of the full length mirror and sighed, I was a total mess. I brushed my fingers through my messy dark hair pointlessly before wiping the tears from my brown eyes. I grabbed a long black dress and held it up to my obese body, it somehow made my hair look better. I changed into it and grabbed my emerald necklace and slipped it on, gripping the stone in my hand. It may not seem like much to others, but along with this being my birth stone, it’s nickname is “The Stone of Successful Love” for some reason that gives me hope.

I walked out of the house, car keys dangling in my hand. I sat down in my dark blue Nissan Sentra and pulled out of the drive way.

I walked into the my therapists office and sat down across from him, "It's been ages since we've seen each other, what's been going on in your life Savannah?"

"It's a long story are you sure you really want to know, Harold?" I teased.

He crossed his legs and smiled, steadying his pencil against his notebook, "Than perhaps we should begin."
