"It seems odd to have a LGBTQ love story take place against the backdrop of professional hockey. The writer somehow makes it work. I enjoy his strong, descriptive writing. And it is especially strong writing around Taylor, the trans girlfriend. She is very real and believable. The story is a little long, but reads fast."
