My heart was already beating at its limit but I pushed myself to go faster, I crossed the imaginary finish line and turned around to face Mr.Clark he was walking over to me with a frown on his wrinkly face ''Ms.Simmons do you realize your failing cardio'' I looked down at my feet ''yes Mr.Clark but ive been practicing every night'' he laughed ''well its not showing on your grade you have one week to get your grade up, get changed and go to your next class'' he turned and walked away.

I got back to the gym and met up with Aurora my best friend since elementary. ''How'd it go'' she asked in a concerned voice ''well I failed again and I have one week to get my grade up'' I grabbed my skinny jeans and my shirt and quickly changed. "Maybe we can practice more tonight'' she said in a dreamy tone ''you just want to see Derek'' I replied. The door to the gym opened and Summer, April, and Emily walked in. ''hello lady's how are you today'' I rolled my eyes ''what do you want'' Auroura asked '' we just wanna know your grade that's all'' april said in a prissy way that bugged me like no tomorrow ''why would you care'' I asked ''we are planning something and we need your grade'' summer said again Auroura stood up and grabbed her backpack but when she started moving twords the door Emily pushed her back down. My protective instincts kicked in and I shoved Emily against the faded pink lockers.

''Don't touch her or you'll regret it'' I threatened ''Woah don't get all bitchy its just a simple question'' Summer said ''your not getting anything from us so just go be a pest somewhere else'' I grabbed my backpack and headed for the doors but April blocked our way ''seriously you do realize I can beat all of your asses while painting my finger nails'' April moved and me and Auroura left the locker room.

We reached science 5 minutes later and found our seats I tuned out Mrs.Adams and focused on the new guy no one knows his name only his last ''Hicks'' he always wears black, black jeans, black shirts, black shoes his hair is also black, he's about 5,10 and he's the prettiest, guy, I have ever seen I've seen him in combat practice and he fights so gracefully its like he has been fighting for years. He keeps to himself and he's really mysterious...''Ms.Simmons would you like to answer the question for the class'' I sat up straighter and said the stupidest thing possible ''Huh'' the class laughed and Mrs.Adams clapped her hands to get the class to pay attention ''What was the question'' I asked ''What happens when a student in my class doesn't pay attention'' '' they get an F for the day''

she went back to teatching and I sank in my chair ''When are going to the field so you can practice'' Auroura asked me in a hushed whisper ''I don't know after school'' I replied. She smiled and I knew she was thinking about Derek Moore the cute dude who liked her and she obviously like's him. He has a lean build 5'7 brown hair brown eyes I personally don't think he's that cute but Aurora does. All of a sudden the classroom doors swung open and three huge guys walked in ''We are looking for Leeann Simmons'' one of the guys said, Mrs.Adams stepped tword's the guys ''what is this all about'' she asked seeming a little scared of the guys.

One of the guys walked over to her and whispered something in her ear Mrs.Adams eyes widened and she pointed to me '' She's right over there, make sure she gets what she deserves'' Mrs.Adams said. The guys walked over to me and lifted me up from my seat Aurora shot up so fast her chair fell backward hitting the floor with a thud ''don't touch her'' she lunged herself at the two guys holding my arms the third guy pushed her back and she fell to the floor. That's when my protective instincts kicked in I spun around and the guys lost there grip on my arm's I used that as an opportunity I kicked the guy holding my right arm back and shoved the other with my free hand. The third guy was holding Aurora down I pushed him off with all of my power and he practically flew back up to the front of the room then something amazing happened.

Hicks got up and started helping me. He pushed his way to get to me and to my surprise, he pushed the other two guys back once more ''What is this about you need a warrant and if you don't have one you don't have a right to be here'' Hicks yelled in an alpha voice,the three guys stopped trying to get to me, I stepped closer to Aurora ''Do you guys have a warrant for my arrest'' I asked with battle lust in my tone ''we don't have a warrant but your suspected for Mr.Clarks murder''

the whole class gasped and I just stoof there confused ''He's dead'' they nodded ''how did he die?'' I dared to ask ''his limbs were torn off of his body and his head was ripped off''' the class gasped again ''Why do you suspect that I did it'' I asked. The guys laughed ''Answer her question'' Hicks growled. One of the guys took a step closer to him and for some reason, I stepped in front protectively stopping the guy in his tracks ''because you were the last person with him'' the guy said. Mrs. Adams walked over to me and grabbed my arm ''Leeann you need to go with these men'' I pushed her off my arm ''I'm not going anywhere with them and dont ever toutch me again'' she backed up, the three guys walked out of the room, Mrs. Adams tried stopping them but failed ''wait come back make her pay for what she did'' I looked at Mrs.Adams and felt a wave of anger explode inside me ''you think im guilty'' she looked at me like I was stupid ''Leeann youre the best fighter here excluding Hicks so yes I do think you killed him''.

The bell rang and no one moved ''Class dismissed everyone except for Aurora Hicks and Leeann leave. Five minutes later the classroom was empty. We all sat one seat away from each other as directed ''Aurora what were you thinking trying to help Leeann, you could have gotten hurt'' Aurora started to speak but Mrs.Adams cut her off ''and hicks what were you thinking to protect Leeann, you could have gotten hurt as well.'' he gave a humorless laugh ''well no one was right in this situation, I saw someone in need and I helped is that a crime now '' she shook her head in a disapproving way ''Leeann you put these too good students in danger, you have detention every day you are inside these school walls, all of you are dismissed'' I grabbed my backpck and started heading for the door all of a sudden I heard Auroura scream.

I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and felt hot wetness on my hands and when I looked down I saw blood I turned around and saw Hicks holding down Mrs.Adams Auroura was at my side in an instant ''What just happened'' she screamed and nearly blew out my eardrums. The pain grew stronger and I fell to my knees a wave of dizziness hit me and I fell on my back '''Hicks call the cops'' Aurora yelled again ''I cant'' he replied ''oh right sorry I'm on it'' another wave of dizziness hit me and my eyes closed I struggled to keep them open but when I did I looked into hicks eyes and they are light brown and seemed to be sparkling my eyes closed again and this time I passed out.

When I reopened my eyes I was staring into those same eyes ''Where am I'' I tried to ask but it came out gurgled '' you're at the hospital, Aurora is talking to the police making her statement about what happened'' I nodded my head ''what about...Mrs.Adams'' I said in a dry voice. His smile vanished ''she killed herself when they put her in jail she took one of the other prisoners homemade shanks and slit her throat, they are also saying that she was compelled, but that's impossible because vampires are extinct'' I smiled because he was rambling ''sorry I'm talking so much'' I smiled again and he looked at me with longing.

A nurse walked in looking like she hated her job and she would kill everyone in this hospital if she got the chance '' good your awake, you lost a lot of blood but thanks to your hero here he gave you some of his, turns out he's the same blood type as you, anyway since you are healing fast you will be discharged today but the police want to talk to you first''. The police came in 10 minutes later. one was really round and the other was really skinny so I nicknamed them Donut and Toothpick. "my name is detective Bensen and this is my partner detective Charles, we would like to ask you a few questions about the death of Mr.Clark if you don't mind'' Toothpick said. I shrugged my answer ''alright where were you at the time of his death'' I was in the girl's locker room talking to Summer, Emily and April, Aurora was there too'' who are they'' Donut asked I sighed Summer Crossland, Emily Adams, April Guzman'' ''And they were all with you, so either you girls all killed him together or you have an alibi thank you for answering our questions'' they walked out.

an hour later I was discharged. Back in my dorm room I looked at my phone and saw that I got a text from Aurora : hey guess where I am rn. I texted back :are u with Derek?. :YES. she replied :well good for you whats up. :WELLLLLL, you should really get over here and practice. she replied :why,you do realize I got STABBED LESS THAN THREE HOURS AGO. : fine suit yourself but I still offered. I put my phone down and looked at the books I was studying from and I was really bored there is really n harm if I go down to the field I am already healed since I am a werewolf and everything. I tossed my books to the side and changed into my gym clothes. I opened my door and headed out for the field I was halfway there when a black figure started walking towards me. I stopped walking and a few seconds later I realized it was Hicks ''Hey Leeann where are you going I was just comming by to see if you were okay'' I suddenly felt very self concious I ran a hand through my hair and looked at the ground to avoid making eye contact ''Im going to the field to practice my running skills'' he laughed ''why alls you have yo do is put one foot infront of the other really fast'' I laughed '' I have to work on the speed part'' I replied ''let me walk you there'' he asked ''sure''

we started walking and it got realy awkward ''today was crazy huh" Hicks said ''yeah it was my first time being stabbed that was interesting'' he laughed ''yeah hopefully that will only happen once in a life time'' I agreed it hurt like hell and I wold never want to go through it again. I was about to ask him his name when we herd Aurora and Derek laughing we stopped walking and waited for them to get to us ''hey guys'' Derek said '' I'm Derek'' he extended out his hand to me ''I already know you'' I said '' oh...im Derek''he extended his hand out to Hicks who tried to hide a laugh ''I'm Asher'' they both shook hands and I was amazed at his name a really hot name at that.

Aurora pulled me o the side ''what are you doing with Mr. hotness she said ''Um he wanted to walk me here'' I replied ''Do you like him'' I looked at Asher and as if he sensed me looking he turned and looked at me too ''I barely know him but I like the looks of him'' wow, I thought Jeffrey broke you for good''.

Oh, Jeffrey the one who got away. blonde hair blue eyes sweet, kind romantic. He broke my heart into a billion pieces and almost ruined all guys for me. But something is drawing me near Asher like I have to get to know him like I have to be close to him.

I looked at Asher again and all of a sudden someone screamed, not just any scream either, a scream that makes you wanna run and hide under your bed, Asher and Aurora ran towards the sound first then me and Derek followed. When we got there April was on the ground crying covered in blood, not her blood either. Asher fell to the floor beside her and so did Aurora, April looked up at me and gave me an evil grin ''you did this to them you horrid bitch'' April always did have a colorful choice of words. She pushed Asher and Aurora back and then she lunged at me, she grabbed my shoulders and shoved me to the ground, It felt like my spine broke in two places, I yelped and shoved the pain in my back aside and shoved her off of me she lunged again but this time Derek caught her and pushed her back, The next thing I know Aurora is screaming and backing away from something.

April falls to the floor again, I run over to where Asher and Aurora are and see Summer and Emily dead lying on the ground guted theie organs were all over the place and theire small intestines were hanging out, It was disgusting ''what happened here'' a proctor came into my view she looked at the ground and emediatly grabbed her wakie talkie ''I need back up NOW im by the field HURRY'' she ordered all of us to stand by the wall and we all did exept for April who was sitting crossed legged sobbing.

A few minutes later backup showed along with the cops detective Bensen was there but the other detective wasn't. ''will someone please explain what happened here'' detective Bensen asked in annoyed tone'' April shot up and ran towards him and pushed him back with a huge hug ''Leeann did it she did this to them, she killed them'' April said between sobs.A pang of anger shot through me''Leeann id this true'' he said with a look that told me he really didn't wanna be here ''NO I just got here along with my friends'' he looked to my friends '' is this true'' they all nodded '' alright all of you can go ill just check the security cameras'' he peeled April off of him and walked away I waved bye to Asher and Derek and walked back to my door room with Aurora '' that was crazy, and why is everybody blaming you for murdering people, I mean you are a little unhinged sometimes but you wouldnt kill anyone''

I didnt answer emmediatly because I was thinking the same thing ''well I was alone with coach before he died and I was alone before Asher came by, so that makes me a suspect''I said ''yeah but that doesnt make you a killer''.We got back to our dorm room and Aurora plopped into her bed. I went into the bathroom and took a shower, when I finished I looked over at Aurora who was already sleeping. I heard my phone ring and looked to see an unknown name but the text read : Hey Leeann its Asher wanna talk. I replied : sure what's up. : nothing I'm just bored how are you feeling. I texted back: I'm alright how about you: I'm fine. : how did you get my number by the way. I responded : Derek gave it to me he said that Aurora gave him your number in case he couldn't reach her. I glared at Auroras sleeping figure: typical Aurora. I yawned and flipped to my other side :thank you. I texted : for what. : for helping me with those guys earlier. :well you can always count on me to help you whenever you need it just call me or something. I smiled: I think I'm going to go to bed now. I texted: alright goodnight sweet Anna: goodnight sweet Asher.
