School Struggles

“Ugh, school. Great, another day of torture from my ‘best friend’.” I thought to myself, sitting up in bed after my alarm clock went off at 7 am.

I got out of bed and started getting dressed. I hate this school uniform. The skirts are too short and the tops are to tight, on top of that, we have to wear knee high stockings. My principle is a pervert, I swear to god.

I pulled my long, brown hair in a messy bun and put on a bit of lipgloss. I went downstairs and grabbed an apple which I ate on my way to school.

“Hana!! Song Hana!!” My best friend called out to me.

“Yes, Sora?” I sighed, sill tired.

“Did I make you mad..? I’m sorry!” Sora pouted a little, she hated making people mad or upset, she was a peacemaker and loved seeing people happy.

“No, no, I’m just tired.. I’m sorry, Sora.” I put my arm around her shoulder. “How are you?” I asked her, smiling.

“I’m doing good! I woke up at 2 am so I had enough time to check my homework!” She smiled wide, pushing her glasses up onto her face.

Park Sora has been my best friend since my parents and I had moved to Seoul, fourteen years ago. She has always been short, it hadn’t been that much of a big thing when we were younger. However, now we’re nineteen, her height is somewhat a problem. She gets picked on because she is only 5′2, also because she’s seen as a nerd. Her glasses are massive and very round, like the kpop artists wear a lot. Sora has an obsession with doing homework as soon as it’s set. She’s never missed a day of school or any piece homework.

“Hana!?” Sora screamed. I looked at her.

“Huh?” I was confused.

“I asked if you did the homework.” She pouted, looking up at me.

Shoot.. of course I didn’t do the homework, I have kdramas and sleep waiting for me at home. “No..? I didn’t..” I looked at her, trying not to laugh.

“Song Hana! I can’t believe you!! This is the thrid time you didn’t do your homework! Mr. Kim is gonna be so mad at you!” She groaned in frustration at my lack of interest in homework.

“Sorry..? I guess.. Anyway, Mr. Kim is nice so he’ll probably let me off again.” I smiled smugly.

Mr. Kim was our English teacher and he was 22 years old, meaning his students were more like friends. He dyes his hair a lot too, he told us it would be pastel pink today. He also wears glasses sometimes and he normally wears suits.

“Ew, Hana! You can’t think like that, he’s our teacher!!” Sora exclaimed, disgusted.

“Chill, Sora, he’s not my type.” I chuckled softly. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a familiar figure. “Bambam..” I mumbled quietly.

He noticed me and jogged over. “Well, if it isn’t the princess herself. Oh, and she brought her little puppy dog.” He pushed Sora lightly.

“Don’t touch her..” I warned him in a low voice.

“Or what? You’ll tell a teacher?” He laughed, mockingly. “Like you could do anything to me.” He stared at me.

“I’ll do way worse than that..” I warned him again.

“Hana.. Let’s just go.. People are staring..” Sora started to tug on my arm, trying to pull me into the school. I stood my ground.

“You go ahead, Sora..” I crossed my arms, annoyed. “Let me deal with this first.” All the while, I stared into Bambam’s brown eyes with my own.

Bambam wasn’t his real name, his real name was Kunpimook but everyone called him Bambam. He is also my bully. He hates me with a passion and I don't know what I did to deserve it. He dyed his hair a lot too, today it was just a light brown. Although he lives next door to me, we only interact at school. If there was some new kid, I'd tell them to avoid Bambam at all costs.

"Aw, sticking up for your nerdy best friend, I see. Such a kind person, Hana." He sneered, jerking me out of my thoughts.

"Shut up. Shut up!" I glared at him. He couldn't see that I was so mad that I could hurt anyone. "Say and do what you want to me, but leave Sora out of this!"

"Is the sweet little princess really that mad at me?" He smiled tauntingly. "I've never seen this side of you, princess."

"Stop calling me princess! Do I look like I want to be called that?!" I exclaimed as I pushed him. I'd had enough so I pushed him again, harder, making him fall to the ground in front of his friends.

"Leave me and Sora alone." I glared at him before walking into school.
