Fresh Start
“Y/N!”
“Y/N turn off the fucking radio! I’m sleeping!”
You ignore your grumpy older brother and continue blasting EXO’s Monster out of your portable yellow speaker. It’s probably not the best idea to disturb your brother at 6:30 am but you can't help it. It's your first day at a new school and you need to remain cool and collected. As you continue to skip around the kitchen in an attempt to pack a healthy lunch, your music is interrupted followed by a grunt. With an exaggerated sigh, you turn around to face a rather annoyed looking Min Yoongi, glaring at you with tired eyes.
"Yoongi oppa, you finally decided to leave your cave!" you clap with fake enthusiasm. He hisses a curse your way and stalks towards the fridge. You have angered the beast. Rookie mistake. He'll get you back later for sure. He wouldn't be Min Yoongi without his thirst for revenge. When you've finally decided on a decent lunch {Kimchi and Market O Real Crackers}, you sprint up the brown carpeted stairs to your room. Making a mad dash to your closet, you quickly go through all the possible scenarios that could take place throughout the day. What if you trip on the way to class? What of it's too loud and you can't focus? What if you get detention? No. No, that's completely unrealistic. You're a good student. You always have been. A new school won't change that. You just need to focus on the task at hand:
Picking an outfit. Your school is one of the few schools around here that doesn't have an uberstrict dress code policy. So, after roughly 25 minutes of tearing through your wardrobe, you emerge in a yellow and black checked skirt, a loosely fitted white t-shirt tucked in, knee-high white socks and black flats. Hopefully you'll evade your tripping scenario in these shoes. Okay, good to go. You grab your school coat and sling it around your shoulders. One last look, just in case. You close your bedroom door and check yourself in the full-length mirror behind it. You're so glad you decided to buy that skirt last fall. It really goes with the school coat. The school only has one dress requirement and it's the coat, with it's sunflower yellow color and black trim. Your hands reach up and gingerly touch the gold school crest over your heart. The nerves are slowly starting to flow back into your mind. Enough. You need to leave. You throw your long black hair into a messy bun and jog downstairs.
"Goodbye oppa! Don't burn the house down!" you call out. Yoongi's probably fallen asleep again. You open the door and step outside.
"Okay Y/N...You're going to be just fine. New school, fresh start. No one knows..."
