Prelude

Some of the decisions we face are only for worse, and even worse.

At some point, we need to sacrifice a part of our lives, whether that be money, friendship, or an aspect of ourselves.

It’s part of what teaches us to be us.

Capricorn, the zodiac sign, teaches exactly that.

It’s half fish, half mountain goat. The goat represents the sacrifice of what we have climbed for, and the tail represents the freedom.

Therefore, freedom through sacrifice.

Many people don’t understand how sacrifice could equate to freedom, but sometimes letting go from our mountain of hoarding to fall into the ocean is the very thing that brings us where we truly need healing.

The sea isolates us, calms us, and centres us.

Once we swim back to the shore and desert, we learn that everything we have accumulated and climbed for isn’t really necessary.

From there is rebirth, and we learn to build not just for the sake of it, but for ourselves, for our loved ones, and for the lesson to the future generations and offering to the past.

The fear we had of the oceans currents, the resentment we had to the soil of the desert.

I see ocean,

I see desert,

I see the world.

Everything’s,

The same thing,

But with a different name.

It’s

A Sea Of Sacrifice
