🌑Tears🌑
Reader POV
My breath hitched as I could hear my dear mother screaming and crying out for them to let her go, my big sister just turned twenty-two. My whole family was hoping that they forgot about her, that they would let our precious sunshine shine amongst us for awhile longer.
I don’t even know how mother survived being recruited by them, she always avoided that topic, and I always let it go cause I could see the pain and desperation in her eyes. She was desperate to hide everything that had happened behind her, not like she was allowed to tell me, but I didn’t know that at the time.
I heard a muffled thud and my father’s desperate cries, I started shaking sitting in the corner of the room, hugging my legs. I couldn’t stand just sitting there, I felt so weak. I was full on sobbing only hearing my father’s cries, from the other side of the door.
The room was dark only being lit up by the small fragments of light radiating through the small crevices in the door. I slowly rose up, my feet wobbling from sitting on the cold hard floor for far too long.
I peeked through one of the crevices in the door, the light temporarily blinding my vision. I heard heavy breathing and water dripping, my heart mimicking the sound of the thick substance.
In a second the door was shoved open in a violent matter and my shirt gripped with a very strong grip dragging me out and shoving me onto the ground. I found myself laying in the same thick substance that I heard dripping.
I couldn’t breathe, I didn’t dare to look up either. I heard someone growl and shove me to the side, making me face the ceiling. I laid still almost forgetting to breathe.
A black shadow appeared looking at me in less than a second before it moves towards me and covers my mouth. I didn’t scream ‘yet’ I didn’t want to anger the figure staring down at me. It stared for a good minute taking in my features,
“Ugly”
It whispered plunging a dagger into my side, I screamed, new found tears streaming out of my eye sockets. I could see a wicked smile forming on his face, my vision soon blurred by my salty tears.
“Ugly”
