Chapter 1

I’m probably the worst to get up in the morning. My mom works later than I go to school so most of the time, I am the one waking her up by accident trying to prepare myself to go to jail- sorry, I meant school. When I’m really tired, which is everyday, I sleep through my alarms and go late to Jefferson high school.

The wind is blowing threw my hair making me shiver from the cold. I’ve been running for the past ten minutes trying to arrive at time even though I’m pretty sure that won’t happen. It’s a fact. My mother didn’t wanted to drive me to school and I, like always, missed the bus that would normally take me five minutes to arrive. But being myself, I am running like hell.

I seriously want to know why they thought it was a good idea to make hormonal teenagers go to a building to be educated at seven in the morning. I get to my locker with five minute late for my history class. I show my identity card to the security and get my ‘ticket’ for being late. The security guard looks at me shaking his head. It’s not a ticket but my friends and I like to call them like that. After five, it’s detention which mean, I will attend detention after school for the fifth week in a row.Yeah me!

I show the proof that I was late to my teacher and go to my seated place. For once, I’m not the only one late today. Half of the class isn’t there. I take my holographic calendar and my notebook out off my bag to put it on the table. Normally, I really like history but right now, I just feel like getting a little bit more sleep. Wasn’t the greatest idea to sleep at three in the morning. I like to learn about what happened in the past with other countries and mine. I’m probably the only one.

" Normally, I would agree how you’re dressed today but...”

I look up from my burger, my mouth full with the delicious food. My best friend Harry standing in front of me. His black hair in a stylish bun, his blue eyes piercing threw his round glasses and one hand on his hip. His comment make me look to my joggings and my Doctor Who shirt.

" What? I dress like this everyday.” I manage to say.

He sigh. ” You look like shit. Sorry but I had to say it.”

" I don’t have anyone to impress so I don’t care Harry.”

Finishing my burger, I look at my planner that I take everywhere. It’s been a habit of mine since kindergarten. I don’t even know why I had one. I just did. Tonight coffee shop at five. I really don’t understand how I plan everything I do but still can manage to arrive at school late. What a life.

" Damn, he’s fine! I wouldn’t mind to tap that.” A girl from the table besides us say.

Harry and I look to see who there talking about. Of course it’s him. It’s always him. Hormonales teenagers I present to you the one and only, Xavier Flinn . Aka the worst part of high school, at least for me. My other best friend Kathy come and sit besides me. They both look at him while I just laugh under my breath. How can someone walk in a place and just doesn’t care that everyone is staring at him?

" Guys, seriously? He’s not even that attractive! If Dylan O’Brien would walk in, than yeah, we’re talking but come on! He’s only a cocky jerk, not to mention that he’s really annoying.” I say, turning away from the spectacle.

They both look at me like I’m some kind of alien. Sorry not sorry.

" Gurl, you need to check your standards cause that boy is fine as hell.” Harry says.

" Hell isn’t what I would say that is attractive.”

Kathy laugh. ” Who cares? He’s hot and don’t let me start on his Scott accent!” She loudly confess.

" I still think that Dylan looks way better.” I laugh, putting my hands in the air.

Coffee in the hand, computer on the table and my lovely calendar. I’ve been working on my project for a week now and I feel like I haven’t been sleeping since then. It’s my last year in high school and little project like these are stressing me so much. How is it going to be after that?

The bell from the door rings making me look up. His blue eyes are fixed to the cover of my planner. Never seen a holographic planner pretty boy? Xavier’s eyes look away and a smirk appear on his face towards the waitress. Oh boy! Good luck waitress and may the odds be ever in your favour.

In my opinion I think the love story between the two characters is ...

What can I say about an abusive relationship? The guy literally didn’t care about her, he was mean and obviously, it wasn’t love but pure attraction. That would be great to write but I can’t say that! The teacher would not like it.

I’ll have to finish this question later. Ugh, I hate this. I take my coffee and drink it looking around. Well, I guess Xavier left. There’s no one in the coffee besides me, there’s an old couple sitting in a corner and the manager behind the counter, looking tired. My phone buzz on the table.

Mom

Don’t forget you’re cooking tonight.

I look up from my phone to see the bus at the end of the street coming. I take my stuff and run off of the coffee. Sitting in the back of the bus earplugs in, putting my music on. That’s when I remember something. I forgot my planner on the table!
