Letter 1

Dear you,
You weren’t the first person I looked at in the room, however; you were the last. I was too nervous to speak to you, so I watched you, as stealthily as I could. Gosh, I couldn’t keep my eyes off you.
From afar, I could tell you were comforted by the surrounding people.
From afar, I could see you didn’t prefer being alone.
From afar, I yearned to be closer.
From afar, you were the person I longed to meet.
Your laugh was giggly, lively. It got me to grin from just hearing it.
Gosh, my eyes were glued to you.
The room was packed, filled to the brim of everyone’s comfort zone, and yet, it was like you were the only one in there. You were on a stage, the surroundings dark and shadowed, and then there’s the spotlight. You were in the spotlight for my stage, and I think you always will be.
It wasn’t just your features that left me awestruck, no.
It was your constant smile. Your eagerness to make others happy and yourself at the same time, without even realizing it.
See, imagine it as fishing. You cast the bait, your cute curly hair and beauty marks that litter your body like a map of stars. Then, you waited for the catch, me. After that, you gave a tug to set the trap, your smile, and reeled me in with your laugh. Little did you and I know, however, is that I was hooked once my eyes met yours.
You weren’t the first person I looked at in the room, however; you were the last. And I yearn for you to be first next…
