Luke Hemmings was mysterious and intriguing in ways I couldn't even begin to comprehend. I'd known him, or
of
him rather, most of my life, but he transferred into my school only late last year.
Luke was the school's star basketball player. Ashton the varsity quarterback. Good grades, attractive, plenty of money. He was the whole package, but in Luke's eyes, Ashton was his worst nightmare.
Their rivalry was always unspoken, in a way, but for as long as I could remember they'd been going at each other's throats.
And the worst part? I pretty sure that it all started because of me.
