Chapter 1
“Case #915.” He chuckles. “Now this was a case that I must say was one in a million, for everyone involved. Including me. This is not just a case but a story I love.” He says whilst smiling contently.
“Well, Dr. Ramirez this is just another day to add to your love for that day as we have the family here today. Come on out guys!”
The crowd cheers and applauds as the guests make their way out onto the stage whilst waving and greeting them on the way to their seats. Before the four guests take their seats, they greet the doctor with love and embrace him. “Now guys I understand that this is a special day for you?” The presenter questions knowingly.
“Indeed, it is.” The twins answer whilst looking at each other and smiling as life gleams through their eyes.
“This is the day Dr. Ramirez helped put us back together. This is the day he helped make us a family again.” They say with all the peace in the world, leaving their lips.
He chuckles embarrassingly. “Now Dr. Ramirez you’re quite the doctor as since receiving your PhD you have helped 2000 cases, 2000 families.” He smiles modestly.
The crowd cheers and applauds at the statement. “What a journey you’ve had, but today were here to hear about the story of your career.”
“This indeed was one of the greatest stories of my career and who better than to hear it from the stars of the case themselves. We have Kyla and Janeece who are twins, that I met when they were just 24 and 25. We also have Leah who I have known since she was 12 and last but not the least entity Flynn who is my nephew.” The doctor states with pride.
“Now here they are 5 years later, celebrating with you on live TV! But to clear up the confusion as I surely can’t be the only one who heard 24, 25 and twins in the same sentence?” The presenter questions the audience and the guests enthusiastically yet confusedly.
“Yes, I met Kyla when she was first admitted at the age of 24 and we progressed through to her 25th birthday when I eventually then met her sister Janeece.” The doctor explains this whilst looking at first Kyla and then Janeece with joy.
“Well, now we have just got to hear the story now.” The presenter declares ecstatically.
