Views on Immigration

There are many people in the US alone that are for immigration, and a large majority of those people might be advocating for a basic human right; that right to be living a decent life, maybe not in their home country but in another. Therefore, at this moment, there are illegal immigrants and dreamers who are fighting for their right to live here in America. They are fighting because they are being threatened to be deported to another or to their own country; where conditions are not the best as they could be. With that being said, statements made in a few articles say that the dreamers of today could very much grow up to be productive members of society, this includes doctors or really any decently high paying job. However, to one side that there is for a cause, there is also a side that is against.

Those who, do in fact, advocate for the deportation of immigrants usually believe they are doing so for the best interest of their country. Many people believe that UNDOCUMENTED immigration is a big problem, and who is to say it is not? They are here illegally, they’re not documented and we do not know what their background is or their possible motives. Arguably, terrorism can be born from these notions and allowing unknown immigrants to live in the US, or any country, can and might just lead to further problems as time goes on. Furthermore, there are a few different opinions on this matter. Whether someone is for or against immigration, there are others who choose not to take a side.

I can confidently say that I remain neutral to both sides of this controversy and for good reasoning. It is true that we really should not have undocumented immigrants here in the US, but you also have to think about their reason for coming here. I like to consider myself an optimist at the best of times and I do my best to empathise with those who I don’t understand. With that being said, I believe that some of the Illegal immigrants are not yet documented because they were afraid of not being accepted into the US. Which is most likely the case. There are alot of immigrants who come here with FAMILIES looking to carve a better life for their children, and can you blame them? Most third world countries are low on food and housing, this means many of the families are living on the streets. If I had a child or children I would do anything to ensure that they lived a successful life, even if that means I had to illegally move into another country. This does not mean I am for illegal immigration though, just that I can understand their reasoning. I chose not to take a side because there are many factors you have to take into mind when choosing a side and some of those factors are the different opinion. I could say that I take both sides but what would that make me? Most often than not I would be called a hypocrite for believing in one thing and supporting another. Even in my own family, when there is fighting going on, I decide to remain neutral up to a certain point. There maybe a day when I will NEED to choose a side but until then I will remain neutral to both sides. With all that has been said, that side do you think I will chose in the future? For or against illegal immigration.
