A white canvas was placed on a stand in the middle of a dark room, it’s surface illuminated by moonlight that cascaded down a small window on one of the adjacent walls.

A hand with lovely long fingers obstructed the moon rays that fell on the canvas. The fingertips covered with shades of various colours held a paintbrush elegantly as it moved over the surface of the canvas in gentle strokes.

The hand belonged to a male, his features sharpened in the moonlit room. His blonde hair seemed to be shining in the moonlight. He was wearing a simple buttoned up shirt, with sleeves rolled up till the elbows. His face looked angelic with mesmerizing brown eyes and soft luscious red lips.

His eyes were fixated on the incomplete masterpiece before him, the canvas. He was pouring his soul into the painting, hoping it turned out like her, like the person he loved.

His hands moved out of instinct. The girl from his dreams, he intended that it resembled her. He had never met this girl but was sure she was out there somewhere waiting for him to come.

He closed his eyes to see his mate through the window of his mind. His lips formed a smile as her face floated in front of his eyelids.

His hands rubbed against the canvas and his eyes were focused on the image he was painting.

He became so engrossed in painting her that he didn’t look what time it was. After an hour of painting it was finished, the portrait was complete.

It resembled her, the girl he had been dreaming of for months. He was satisfied that it looked one bit like her.

He moved towards the open window and shut it blocking the moonlight making the room drown in darkness.

He picked up the canvas from the stand, placed it on one of the walls and walked out of the small room slamming the door as he left.

Behind him, inside the closed doors the canvas was emitting light, it was glowing.
