Summary

Rose is the middle child of her family. Nothing special there. Of course, the only fucking time something interesting happens, it's that her boyfriend is cheating on her. It sucks. I walk to my next class, the one that we were supposed to have a substitute in. The sub's husband walked beside me, making me feel more awkward than anything. As we approached the classroom, I noticed that there wasn't supposed to be noises in there. Well shit.

Cookies.

Rose, age 4, January 1, 6:11 PM

I took my older brother's hand, dragging him to the kitchen where Mama was baking cookies. The sweet scent wafted through the air, making me giddy. Papa followed us both, my little sister clawing at his leg. I giggled as I reached Mama, a smile gracing my face. "Be patient, Rosie. The cookies will be ready soon." She said, pitching my nose.

My Mama was the best. she knew everything there was to know. Cookies. How to Read. Cuddles and hugs. And a lot more! I think.

I bounced up and down repeatedly, my eyes glued on the oven, where the cookies were baking.

My smile never wavered.

Rose, age 17, December 28, 8:32 PM

I collapsed on my bed, a sigh escaping my lips. At least my school day hadn't been as hard as the last one. A knock sounded on my bedroom door. "Rosie? Can I come in?" My Mam's voice shattered the silence that had been building in my bedroom. I sat up on my bed. "Ya, Mam." My voice sounded different as before. Earlier today, when I found out that my boyfriend, Zach, was cheating on me with the substitute teacher. Fucking drives me up the wall how ignorant he really is. In the classroom, a minute before class begun. He was in there, banging the teacher. She didn't look like one of those hooker-teachers, either. SHE HAD A HUSBAND, WHO WAS BESIDE ME, WAITING TO SEE HIS WHORE OF A WIFE!

As you can tell, I'm not crying over him. Just waiting for the divorce. And the charges. And the pink slip. And when Zach realizes that he's 18 and is still in high school for his second time around. When he's supposed to be in his first year of being an employee at McDonalds.

All of those sounded GREAT right now. Mam walked in, followed by my older brother, Xavier, who sat down beside me on my bed. "Honey... I heard what happened and I'm so sorry. Zach acted like a...douchebag...and I know that you feel betrayed, and I'm sorry." She said, placing her hand on my shoulder.

"Well... I don't feel betrayed whatsoever. I just feel damn stupid that I thought he was with me for a different reason rather than my feminine parts." I huffed, crossing my arms. Xavier stiffened beside me.

My Mam let out a breathy chuckle. My brother sighed. Even if he was two years older than me and in college, he was still protective of me. He had just got home for Christmas Break when all of this shit happened. My Dad is on a business trip, so he couldn't come home for a few more weeks. "If you want me to intervene, just ask me, Rose." He said, offering me a small smile. "Are you up to it at the moment?" I grinned. Xavier nodded.

"Excuse us Mam. I'll have my revenge soon enough."

I sat at the dinner table beside my brother. My grin didn't waver. "What's the plan?" He asked, resting his elbows on the table.

"Okay... There is a party at Rebecca's at 9, and all of the seniors were invited. She lives in her parent's mansion, so there will be loads of space. I plan on starting wearing away at his self control slowly by wearing my black cocktail dress that Mam bought me. Since we never had sex, he wouldn't know much about my body. He's never seen me in something too revealing since we got together, so it'll be foreign. the normal girl way after a breakup. So what you have to do is to attend the party as my plus one, and just socialize. But stay near me. I'll bring him somewhere private, and you can teach him a lesson there, while I make sure nobody notices. The seniors don't know about the banging yet, just that me and Zach broke up, so they won't treat me any different than before. Got it?" I explained, and Xavier nodded.

"Well, lets get ready, then. Meet you outside in ten."

I stared at myself in the mirror, surprised at how I looked. The dress hugged my curves, the black color bringing out my brown hair, which was rolling down my torso in waves. My gray eyes didn't stand out, and I liked it that way. I wore short black heels, since I liked my not-broken ankles. They were nice to have.

I wore dark eyeliner, mascara, and eyeshadow, and blood red lipstick to match. I hadn't bothered much with the rest, since I sucked at anything else makeup.

I sighed and tugged on my black leather jacket, since it was cold outside. Walking out of the room cautiously, since I still think heels are usually fucking traitors. Never let me do what I would like to, by attempting to kill me every time I wore them. My brother waited outside my door.

Xavier was wearing a grey V-neck and jeans, not bothering to put in the effort. He also wore a black leather jacket.

I groaned internally, and strode beside him to the car that waited outside.

This is going to be fucking fun.

Well, other than it was a lot colder than the damn weatherman said.

That lying bastard.
