Tomorrow
“You still thinking about tomorrow?” he asked. She nodded her head slowly in reply. “I decided that tonight, we could just be together and not think about what’s going to happen. Let’s forget about tomorrow, and just live for us and where we are right now,” he said. She just smiled, nodded, and kissed him on the cheek. “I’m just nervous.” “Tomorrow’s another day. It will pass, we’ll still be us, and I’ll still love you forever,” he said, trying to bring her some sort of contentment.
It had been a year since he told her what his plans were, and where he was going, she thought to herself. She didn’t want him to know that it terrified her. He was all she had. She wanted him so badly to stay with her, but she knew in her heart, she had to let him go.
“What are you looking forward to after I leave?” he asked. “You coming back,” she said softly. He smirked and let out a small sigh. “You know you have nothing to worry about. I love you now, I’ll love you when I’m gone, and I’ll love you forever.” She stared into his bold, brown eyes and couldn’t help but think how devastating it was going to be once he was gone.
