Chapter 1
“Harry, you’re ok?” Ginny flew into Harry’s arms as he entered the house.
“Hi, Ginny. Yes, I’m fine, just a few Dementors and a small trial, nothing to worry about. Everything is sorted.” Harry smiles as he pulls away from Ginny’s hug.
Ron comes running around the corner first followed by Hermione, “I thought I heard you come in. It is just that voice, annoying and screechy.” Ron laughs.
“Nice to see you to, Ron!” Harry laughs with him as they go in for the man hug but Hermione jumps on top of the hug.
“I have so missed you, Harry. I hope you are alright,” she holds his face in her hands, checking him over before letting go and smiling sadly, “Me and Krum spilt up. It was for the best.”
“I know, he was sooooo, not worth it.” Ron rolls his eyes sarcastically.
“Give up Ron; you knew how much Hermione enjoyed last year, just because you haven’t felt love it doesn’t mean you have to insult others.” Harry pushes Ron back along the corridor.
“Stop messing around boys, me and Hermione want to catch up as she only arrived this afternoon just before you got here.” Ginny sighs before pushing them down the corridor, “Let’s go boys, mum said that when Harry turned up that we all had to go to bed as school is tomorrow.”
They all go straight up to bed into the deep insides of Grimmauld place with Harry and Ron sharing and Hermione and Ginny in the same rooms next door to each other. Even with the new residence in the house the four quickly get off to sleep with their suitcases all packed for tomorrow. The next morning the whole house is filled with noise as the Weasleys, Harry and Hermione run around making sure they have everything and have eaten before the ministry cars come and pick them up. However in all the bustle Sirius manages to grab Harry before they leave in the ministry cars.
“Sorry, I didn’t get to see you last night. You went straight to bed last night, I wanted to say good luck, stay safe Harry. Don’t do anything stupid ok. Voldemort is out there, I don’t want any harm coming to you; alright think about your parents how they sacrificed their life for yours, ok.”
“Sirius, I will be fine. I won’t do anything reckless, anything wildly crazy. I will just try and keep my sanity and not become taken over by a corrupt no-nosed animal, who is trying to kill me.” Harry’s voice began to rise as he began to lose his temper.
“Calm down Harry. I know these times have been tough on you especially with this latest Dementor attack and ministry case but you need to relax.”
“No, I can’t relax because my parents died because of Voldemort and I feel so angry all the time because of him what he did to me... it... he feels like he is in me, controlling me. It makes me feel so anger all the time and I can’t control it.” Harry tries desperately to take control.
“Listen to me Harry. Voldemort isn’t you so if something of him, which he isn’t, is in there you need to be strong because that is who you are. You are loved and cared for by the people around you and that is something you can hold on to and fight for. You take back the control on your anger for the people around you because where would that leave them.”
“I will try to Sirius.”
“If you have any more problems send me an owl. I need to someone to talk to. Molly and Arthur are going back to the Burrow tomorrow and I don’t think Creature is the best company.”
Harry laughs, “Yes, don’t worry. I will send you owls every week if I can.”
“You don’t have to do that but it would be nice to hear from you every so often.”
“Ok as long as you don’t worry about me too much, I will try stay safe. So, don’t worry. I will be fine.”
“There is a good boy, off you go. I will see you at Christmas.”
“Thank Sirius. I will see you at Christmas.”
They all scramble into the Ministry cars outside Grimmauld Place before setting off to Kings Cross station and for once on time. In the front car Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny laugh and joke as they begin diving into the sweets.
“I wish we had this every time we have to go to school.” Ron sighs leaning back trying to catch sneaky looks at Hermione.
“It is only because of this new risk of Voldemort and Dumbledore has managed to persuade the ministry to loans cars to us. I don’t know how he has done it with the whole ministry not believing in Voldemort returning but he has.” Hermione also sighs as they turn into the main entrance of Kings Cross Station.
“Hey, it is a once in a life time opportunity. I have a feeling something is going to happen this year and it is going to change everything.” Harry opens the door as Mr and Mrs Weasley, Kingsley, Mad Eye, Tonks and a black dog stand their letting them out.
“Yeh and having an escort team as well. We don’t get that every day, do we.” Ron replies sarcastically as they make their way out of the car.
“Come on, if you don’t hurry up we will be late.” Mrs Weasley has already put their luggage on to trolleys and is now beginning to push them towards the station. The group get the indication they need to hurry up so jump out and run with the adults to catch up with Mrs Weasley.
They walk quickly over to the barrier between nine and ten before taking it in turns to run through. As each disappear and reappear at the other side they gather in a group some way down then platform. Sirius manages to pull Harry to one side with his nose. They hide round the back of one of the big posters as Sirius changes back into a man.
“I thought we were saying good bye at the house. It isn’t safe for you out here.”
“I know but I need to get out and this has been my first chance to see you on to the train properly. No one will see me, Padfoot the dog is my new identity, for both of our safety.”
“Ok, as long as you are safe. I have only just found you, don’t get yourself locked up or killed. Please Sirius.” Harry pleads as Sirius draws him into a hug.
“Don’t worry about me, I will be fine.”
“Good, now you go back to Grimmauld Place, stay safe because i cam’t lose another and the train is going to go in a minute.” Harry says sternly to his Godfather.
“Ok, just remember I am here if you need anything.” Sirius steps away getting ready to transform.
“I know, now be gone with you.” Harry laughs as a dog appears in front of him and he hurries away on to the train laughing as he reaches a compartment that Ron, Hermione and Ginny have already saved.
The train sets off just as Harry sits down and the group lean out of the window, waving to their extended family. They laugh when Sirius barks out loud just as the train disappears around the corner and sit down to enjoy the now free parent zone.
