Chapter 1
I, Jazmine Shauntes, have come to the conclusion that my hard work of hitting the gym the past three years has paid off.
I had always been on the chubby side, so freshman year, I decided summer before sophomore year I will start working to the goal. I now have noticeable abs and I am a good size four, sometimes five.
I was currently sitting peacefully on the sand of the beach in front of my house. It’s the last time I will be able to come back to the beach for the whole day.
School starts tomorrow. Time for Britney and Landon to follow me around. They had one thing in common that made them a good couple for the past six years (I know, even in middle school); they hate me.
I hadn’t realized I closed my eyes until I felt a cold gush hit my face.
“AAAHHHH!” I screamed.
“I think my ear drums just bled,” a voice I don’t recognize yelled.
I pried my eyes open to see the figure. I see four tall, muscular, and hot guys standing in front of me with a tub of water balloons.
One with blonde hair burst out laughing.
“You should have seen your face!” he exclaims.
“Are you freaking kidding me?!” I yell. I come to realize the four boys.
Ace Jones, Zach Ryder, Finn Haze, and Giovanni (goes by Gio) DeCaro are the most popular guys in my school. Finn is swim/track star, Zach is lacrosse captain, Ace is star singer and star quarterback, and Gio is soccer captain.
“Sorry. We thought you were someone we knew,” Gio says. He has deep brown eyes with light brown hair.
“We thought you were this cheating whore,- person named Britney,” Zach said. He was the one with the blonde hair early, and his eyes are the color of the sea.
"No, but I can see why you'd hate a cheater."
"That Britney bitch cheated on our friend Landon. You might know them. Do you go to Pointview High?" Finn asks. Shoot! I need to lie.
"One, no. I am home-schooled. Two, it's Britney, bitch." The boys burst out laughing.
"What's your name, Chica?" Finn asks again.
"Don't call me that. It's Jess or Jesse." I mean it's close to my name but not too close.
"So Jess, where you live?" Zach asks.
"Um, right here hoe. Where else?" I said, pointing to my house. Another round of laughter goes off.
"I like you," Ace says.
"Thanks? Do you guys want some food or popsicles?" I question.
"Sure," Finn says with a smirk.
"My mom doesn't give a crap about who I bring in. She's unaware of surroundings half of the time she is at home." I whispered the last part.
I opened the gate to my living area. When I mean my living area, I mean it's a guest house attached to our house, but we don't have any guests, so it doesn't matter.
There's a swing on the porch that I use all the time. There's a fridge and freezer, double oven, sink, stove, and dishwasher.
"What do you guys want?" I opened my fridge.
"Is this your house? Isn't it kinda small?" Zach was looking super confused.
"No... This is my part of the house. The only time I go to the main house is when my mom isn't home."
"Do you like hate your mother?"Ace questions.
"Since my dad left us, yeah. It was her fault he left... I've said too much."
"It's ok." Finn shares a soft smile.
"You know what? I'm ordering pizza. If you like pineapple on pizza, you are Satan."
"We think the same thing!" I laughed getting the local pizza place on the phone.
"Hi Ally! It's Jess. Go with it! Ok. One cheese pizza, one pepperoni, and one garlic bread. I do realize that's a lot of food. I am still paying for it. Bye!"
"You friends with Ally?" Zach asks.
"Yeah, why?"
"She's my cousin."
"Oh cool." No! Shite!
"So Chica, you single?"Gio asks.
"Bitch, does it look like I'm taken? Not that I would ever date you." He is known for hitting on a lot of girls, but he is also known for being a sweetheart.
"Rude,"Finn sings.
The door bell of my house goes off.
"Hey Ally."
"Um hi? Is that my cousin?!" She looks at Zach.
"Allygator!"
"Zach Attack." She hands me the pizzas before hugging Zach.
"Ok, well, I'll will see you four later and Jess Friday?" She said Jess cocking her eyebrow.
"Yep!" we all exclaim at the same time. Another fit of laughter escapes our lips.
Ally leaves, and I set the pizza on the table.
"There are four open places to eat: this kitchen, other kitchen, by the pool, or by the window. You guys can choose."
"We will take the pool." Gio says, after confirming with the others.

After eating our pizza, which I didn't get to eat much of, the boys invited me to a party... a back to school party. To make it even better, guess who's house.
LANDON FRIGGIN BRYAN.
God, I love you, but this is Landon we are talking about.
Wait a second... I am not going as the nerdy kid who tried to ask out Landon in sixth grade. I am Jesse Mendes, home-schooler, hot chica. Thanks a lot, Gio.
"Fine, I will go, but one of you has to take me. My mom says I am too young to be driving although I am 16," I answered.
"No problem. We are all going together babe." Ace winked. I rolled my eyes.
"I know I look like a hoe, but I am not. This all runs in the family," I addressed.
"It's ok. Even though we just met you, we don't think you are a hoe," Finn replies
"We'll pick you up at 6:30, Princess. Oh, and wear something that shows off everything," Ace says smirking. My jaw fell open.
"Leave my house before I push you off my roof."
They left with a pep in their step. That leaves me three and a half hours to get ready... I better run in the shower!
