Chapter 1
It has been many years right now. That vampires learned to live among the humans without them knowing. Ever since I was little I was very interested in vampires. Humans knew they existed but everyone thought bad about them. Of course vampires werent all good. On the news you always saw things about vampires killing people, sucking them dry and thats why no human liked them. But not all vampires are like that. There are a lot who live among us right now. They learned to feed on animal blood instead of humans. And just like everyone they want to live a normal live. One of those vampires who lived among us was my best friend Taehyung. When I was little there came a new family living beside me. It was a couple with one son. That son was Taehyung. But he wasnt really their son. When me and my parents introduced ourselfs to them I instantly wanted to become friends with Taehyung because he was the same age as me. His parents really liked that idea and often invited me over to come play. Thats how we became friends. Best friends. As I got older his parents knew how I thought about vampires and they told me one of their biggest secrets. They told me they werent Taehyungs parents. Mr. And Mrs. Kim apparently worked for an organization that helped vampires live a normal life. They found Taehyung when he was little. His parents got killed and with no where to stay they took him in. I made a promise with Taehyung that I would always be there for him and this would remain our secret. As Taehyung also became older his cravings for blood also grew. As a friend I let him feed on me. It became like a normal thing to me now. But there has been one thing bothering me lately. Taehyung has changed. Ever since he became a teen he really changed and not in a good way. He went from this smiley happy person to this cold hearted person. He became very cold to me and it seemed like he didnt care about anything anymore. Even though he makes me so mad sometimes I still stay by his side and help him out. Cause that sweet Taehyung I remember. I know that he is still there. Taehyung became old enough to take care of himself so Mr. And Mrs. Kim moved away helping others as Taehyung lives alone right now. I just wonder why he became like this. And if he ever will change back to the way he was before.
I was at school and break just started. I was about to leave the classroom to go to Taehyung. He immediatly left when class ended and I exactly knew where he was. I was about to leave until I felt someone grabbing my arm.
“Wait a second” Hira my best girl friend said grabbing my arm. She turned me around and narrowed her eyes at me. I instantly avoided her eyes. Hira was also one of the vampires who lived among the humans. She has been my best girl friend for years now and I could always rely on her. She hasnt drinken human blood for many years and always feeds on animal blood.
“What is it?” I asked while looking at the rest of my classmates leaving the classroom heading to the canteen. She sighed and removed my scarf that I was wearing a little away so she saw my neck.
“Again....” she sighed irritated.
“Im sorry.... I know what you said last time and youre right about it. But Taehyung is making a fuss about it. He really doesnt want to” I said clapping my hands together as a apology infront of my face.
“I dont care if he doesnt want to or not he needs to stop” she said irritated while slowly moving her thumb over the bite mark in my neck. I flinched a little because it hurts a little. My skin there was very sensitive and it still hurts from the time when he bit me. She instantly moved her hand away knowing she hurt me.
“When?” She asked mad putting her hands in her hips.
“This morning” I muttered seeing her eyes widen.
“You seriously need to stop giving yourself to him. He needs to learn to feed on animal blood. He cant live of human blood if he wants to live a normal live. And above all youre not a walking blood bag! Doesnt he care about you?!” I knew that she became more mad with the second. Not because of me but because of Taehyung.
“I know” I said softly while looking at the floor. She sighed and rubbed the back of her neck.
“Just refuse him the next time. He needs to learn. I dont want him to hurt you” she said lowering her voice and I nodded my head.
“Thanks for worrying about me” I said hugging her tight.
“I have to go now”
“Okay” I waved her a goodbye and left. I walked through the hallway and heard a lot of girls scream making me laugh because of the name they were screaming.
“Jimin!!” I heard a girl scream loudly as if she was seeing an idol. I saw Jimin infront of me while the girls were behind me further away.
“Y/N!” Jimin said relieved while speed walking up to me.
“Popular as always” I said grinning. I heard some of the girls sigh out of disappointment making me giggle. Me and Jimin were also close friends. We met at an amusement park one day and spend the most of that day togethers. Then we saw eachother the first year of highschool. We instantly became quite close. Jimin wasnt a vampire and just a normal human like me. He doesnt know about Taehyung or Hira though. No one knows about them except for me.
“I have to tell you something” he said and I saw by the look on his face that it wasnt something good.
“I hope its nothing bad” I said and he sighed while grabbing my shoulders. I saw him look behind me at the group of girls who were still observing us.
“I kinda told to one girl who confessed to me that I already have a girlfriend.”
“Oeh who is the lucky girl?” I asked grinning.
“You” he answered making my mouth fall open.
“I dont remember you confessing to me or the other way around. Mind explaining?” I asked arching my eyebrow and folding my arms.
“I know im sorry. But I didnt wanted to break her heart by telling I dont love her. And youre the one who popped to my mind. At first I told her I was just dating someone but she kept on pushing me to tell her who it was. So I panicked and said your name. I know they wouldnt dare to bully you even if youre dating me cause they are scared of you. Im so sorryy for bothering you with it. But I dont know what to do.” He looked really sorry and I wasnt mad about it or anything.
“Its okay I understand. We will talk about what were gonna do another time okay? I gotta go to Taehyung right now” I said and he nodded his head.
“Okay. Uhm should we hug or something?” He asked and I saw him blushing a little. I giggled at his blushing face which was really cute.
“Come here” I said putting my arms around his waist and hugging him tight. I just felt the dirty glares of the girls on my back but I couldnt care less about it. I felt him hug me back right before I broke the hug.
“Bye” I waved and saw him smile while waving back. I quickly ran my way upstairs. Finally I reached the door I was searching for. I opened it and got greeted by a wave of air against my face.
“There you are” I said entering the rooftop of the school. (Think of the school rooftops you see in anime’s😂)I saw Taehyung seated on the ground while his back was leaning against the small cabin that lead to the rooftop. He didnt responded as he just kept on staring a head of him. Looking at the view from up here. I smiled and walked up to him seating myself beside him. I placed my bag next to me and grabbed the two turkey sandwiches that I made.
“Tadaa! Here” I said handing him one of them. He looked at me with a serious expression and the sandwich in my hand.
“I dont need it” he said coldly while turning his gaze back at the view.
“Oh come on I know youre hungry” I said smirking while poking him with it.
“If you know im hungry then get me real food.”
“I know it doesnt satisfy your hunger but at least the hunger will die down for a while” I said but he still didnt took it. Vampires can eat normal food just fine. But it doesnt satisfy there hunger they still need to feed on normal blood.
“Tae-” he suddenly pulled my wrist making me sit on his lap facing him. The sandwich I was holding fell onto my lap and luckily it was still wrapped in some paper. He looked me in the eyes as he slowly removed a bit of my scarf showing his bite mark.
“I told you not at school. What if someone finds out?” I asked panicking and a smirk appeared on his face.
“Let them find out” he said before sinking his fangs into my skin. I cried out as I held his shoulders gripping it tightly. It still hurts from this morning so right now it really hurts the most. He never was like this. He would always care about me. But ever since he became cold hearted he feeds on me whenever he wants.
“Stop!” I shouted from the pain and felt his fangs being pulled out. I got of his lap as he wiped the side of his lip. I quickly covered my neck with the scarf again and stuffed the sandwich back in my bag. I was really annoyed right now. I wanted to leave until I felt him grab my wrist pulling me back down so I was sitting again. He suddenly placed his head on my lap as he was laying down.
“Im gonna sleep for a while” he said and closed his eyes. I was mad but looking at his face just made it fade away.
“Youre an asshole you know that” I said and saw him laugh a little with his eyes still closed.
“Just be quiet” he said turning his head to the side. I puffed my cheeks and just looked a head of me at the view and the clear blue sky. I really hope that things would be the way it was again.
