Summary

Every chapter has a new character. They all have their own stories to tell. But, try connecting the dots of events that happens in each chapter and soon you'll start unrevealing the story. A world where secrets, betrayal, sadness and hurt brews under the nose of the people. Yet they remain, all unaware of the depths these things have taken. It has now, become a vicious circle of revenge; taking them into a more twisted and tangled form of version. Where mercy is something, that has been a long forgotten moral. Puzzle pieces, will start to fall in correct order. But would the ruthless, female Alpha be willing to show any readiness, towards finding more about her wicked past? --- Let's put your mind to test because this story won't fully be told from the main protagonist's view. You'll be the judge of each character and on the turn of events that they'll go through. But, has always things gone the way you think it should have went? Then a slight dissapointment is in your way because I'm making sure you're up for greater surprises.

Prologue

“ALPHA!”

My body automatically froze as the link with one of my head Epsilon, poured dread and anguish through the network.

Grounding my teeth roughly to avoid any kind of frightening lash outs on the innocents. I grumbled back into the line, “Val this better be good if you’re contacting me instead of David.”

An unexpected fear came from his side. When all of a sudden, the familiar jolting force rocked my body; alerting, about an intruder’s entry to my territory.

In a flash of a second, I grabbed hold of my precious Ruinedge and jumped out from the third storey window; to land with an ease in a perfect timing by rolling out forward.

I pushed myself up from the ground and sprinted towards the east borders. Rest of the pack members continued with their own tasks as I rushed past them, in an inhuman speed.

Five seconds

It just took me only five seconds to reach the borders. But, the scene unfolding in front of me showed that things were getting out of control, from our hands very quickly.

“Quileters, back away.” I let myself come into their view.

As, my eyes luminously shined like that of a predator, taking in the surroundings before acting on instinct.

“I SAID MOVE BACK!”

“Val Demandro Hoi, step forward this instance.” Slowly, the pack made way for him to head towards me.

“Is David Schlumataz present here?” My voice rung out clearly with full domination and some of them flinched at the energy that flowed through me.

“He is not present here, Alpha.” One of the warriors, voiced out from where he was standing with others.

“Very well. Val, do join me and others step aside so that I could welcome the trespassers like they should have been.”

They moved aside to reveal a single specimen, standing in all glory under the setting sun. My hands, immediately curled into a tight fist to control the boiling anger within me.

“Alpha Ryan, may I know the reason of your appearance in my land. Without, giving us any notice from your side beforehand.”

Instead of giving me an answer, he kept staring at me like a prize. The growls and snapping sound from the warriors, didn’t even had an effect on this man. He kept those icy blue eyes trained on me and it was getting on my nerves, more than I would have like to admit.

“Alpha Ryan, may you give me an answer so that we can get that out of our way and talk on whatever issue you are here, all alone at this time.”

He shook his head, seeming to face trouble with some thoughts and muttered silently only for my ears to catch it immediately.

“What isn’t possible?” Walking briskly to close the big distance with a scarcely held temper was really torturous.

Just because, I don’t want another war when we are starting to build back our pack from an inner-trauma. Doesn’t mean that I would tolerate him, standing in my lands like he owns it.

“Adriana?”

His whispered voice, snapped open the cage of my demons; where they were trapped for the others betterment.

As they managed to break free from my control, I started seeing red in my vision.

“NO ALPHA!!”

A pair of arms wrapped around my waist instantly to pull me back from attacking.

“Adi, clam down. You had killed him, remember. He-”

Another force came crashing down, as I saw David flying few yards away from me in impact. Then all of a sudden, a warm buzzing sensation covered my whole body, making me go haywire.

“NO!!” I screamed out in rage and frustration.

The instinct to protect myself overtook my judgement ability and before I could comprehend my actions. His body touched the ground, echoing a sickening sound of breaking bones.

My demon took over the control and there was nothing I could do to stop it from causing more problems.

“Submit,” authority and dominance poured out from my voice as I crushed his legs with power.

“Adriana!”

His words came out with great vigour. But my leg, inserted more pressure on his broken calf bone.

“It’s Alpha for you and don’t force me to throw you in the fallen dungeons. SUBMIT NOW!”

My Ruinedge sword was handed over and its gleams under the moonlight caught his attention as he took in the sight of me above him. The scent of fear, wafted up in the night air and a look of horror stroke his chiseled face.

“I-I submit to you Alpha Ad- Lyrica.” He croaked out painfully and a menacing smile broke free, looking at my accomplishment.

“Was that so tough for you mate?”

The triumphal in my voice was easy to recognize, as I withdrew my leg and walked away from him.

“Bring him into my chambers.” I ordered David, back on my way to the office.
