Chapter One: Bought

“Mom, I’m going to the mall!” I yelled from downstairs and put on my shoes. I quickly grabbed my keys then walked out to my car. It was afternoon, almost evening.

My friend, Namjoon decided to call me right then-

Dang it, I’m driving right now.

I pulled over to answer.

“Hey! I’m actually busy but I think Hoseok will be there,” he told me.

“Oh.. Yeah, okay.”

“Drive safe!” He hung up.

After I got to the destination, I parked my car a little bit far from the tall building, but there were no other space.

“Hi there,” a guy walked next to me and smiled. He smelled like cheap liquor and cigarettes. I ignored and kept walking, hoping Hoseok would show up.

“Aw.. Gonna ignore me?” He kept trying to talk to me. He took me by the hand dragged me to the black van.

“Hey! Let me go!” I shouted.

“You’re perfect for the auction,” they taped my mouth and tied me up.

A few hours gone by.

When the car stopped moving, I panicked and waited for them to open the door.

“Don’t be scared, we’re not going to hurt you,” they said as they opened the door then put a bag over my head. They made me get out and start walking. My heart was racing, please don’t let me die. I should’ve stayed home.

“You think they’ll buy her?” One asked.

“Of course,” the other answered.

I walked up some stairs then stopped when they let go of my arm and heard some conversations in front of me. They took the bag off my head then left the stage I was standing on.

Guys were in front of me, sitting down. Wealthy looking a boys and educated ones too.

“500k,” someone bet.

What’s going on?

“900k,” another raised their hand up.

Most of them were old and a few looked too young. There were no girls there, but I’m not sure. My vision was blurry from the light shining at me and the crowd was pitched black.

“5 million,” another one jumped in.

“Going twice..” The M.C was talking.

“999.99 million..” A guy bet before it went three times.

“Sold!”

They covered my head with a bag again.

I’m sold!? Someone bought me.

What is going on?

They untied me then took the tape off my mouth after taking the bag off my head. In front of me was a handsome young man, maybe around my age. His black suit with a bow tie and face even looked wealthy.

“Where am I? What happened?” I panicked, out of breath.

“I bought you.”
