Lingering Demon
When you think of fear you imagine the child who is scared of the monster in their room, the rebellious teenagers being chased by someone with a sharp weapon and a thirst to kill, and even the smallest things like heights. You would probably be correct, for most of those at least, but fear is more than one word. Fear can be a phobia, anxiety, insecurity, and may more names. It is a spectrum of many emotions that gives someone goosebumps. Fear gives people limitations to their lives as they try to leave their mark on this planet before the biggest fear takes them. Death. Fear is almost like those videogames where your decisions effect how your gameplay ends and what endings you get. In this game there are two decisions for you, however.
The first option is to Forget Everything And Run. This route will have the suffering continue, with not many tutorials or hints to help you cope. It leads to the increase of fears as they linger in your entire gameplay. Earning experience and memories are hard because of the fear pulling you back and whispering harsh nothings into your brain. You lose interest and you hide yourself in a mask away from anyone and everyone. You let it engulf your life while you suffer hoping that the pain stops. This is the bad ending.
The second option is to Face Everything and Rise. This route will have you leave your box of comfort as you face what others would turn from. You conquer it with confidence and see the brighter sides of your world. You face the obstacles head on and get passed all the self doubt and all the negativity cluttering inside you. This helps with the gameplay as you feel more pride as you do activities, and you earn a lot more experience and memories. This is when you have control. This is the good and true ending. The ending that everyone should yearn and work for. This is courage.
