A thoughtful story with a slow start

"I liked the stark contrast between the main protagonists, philosophically adept but a slightly slow at times. The story feels simple enough to follow along in this near-future based Sci-Fi, offering some tense moments and surprises, but I do fancy a more prose-like writing style myself. (Might not work that great in certain novellas like this one.) The world is well developed, and to me that was the most interesting part since the story is a bit of a slow burner with certain things that the author wants to portray. Going to read more as it gets updated. Thanks for an intersting read."
