PROLOGUE

It was a cold winter night, Rosa ran as fast as her small feet could carry her. Her hair was stuck to her face due to the heavy rain that felt like a billion needles being poke into her back. Desperately trying to get away from the monster she completely fell in love with, she ran, even when her ankles were burning and screaming at her to stop. Her breathe faltered and she fell onto her knees, not being able to walk because of the insane amount of blood loss. Pedro ran to her, attempting to steady her but she yanked herself away from her. To say he was hurt was an understatement. He was shattered.

She looked at him with so much hate, his insides were squirming, screaming even. His mind being a constant reminder of how badly he had fucked up.

Pedro couldn't hold back any longer and he finally exploded, “Don't you see it Rosa? Every touch, every kiss, every thrust inside you and every glance I stole of you was because I was-I am incapable of keeping myself away from you. And if being able to taste you is a sin then I would rather be a sinner. I’m so badly addicted to the way you smell, the way you sway your hips to a beat you like and the way you draw your lips in between your teeth when you’re nervous. Fuck that, I can't bear the thought of you away from me because of how much I need you. You're the only good thing in my life. Call me a selfish bastard for wanting you to stay but I can't help it Rosa."

It took everything in her to not fall into his arms and forget about all her problems, but the damage was too deep. Rosa had tears pouring out of her eyes while shouting, “I can't do this anymore. I was foolish to think this would ever work out. You never chose me Pedro. I gave you so many chances but you really screwed up. Don't you dare think I'm walking away because I almost died for being yours. Our worlds are too different. You're always going to be the heir of an Italian Mafia and I'm always going to be the same old Rosa. Don't you get it? There will never be a place for me in your world.

It's no lie that you've claimed my heart and my body. Another man would never be able to ravish it the way you do and I’ve forgiven you for everything but I no longer have the strength in me to live with your lies anymore. Every time I touch you, I feel as if I'm a scorched desert and you're my only source of water. I can’t think Every time your skin kisses mine. My body begs for you but my heart aches because of you. I asked you- no I begged you to leave this life behind, but you never listened. You always chose this over me. And now, I choose myself over you. So I'm asking you-no I'm begging you to leave me the fuck alone.”

Rosa looked up to meet a pair of the most beautiful emerald bloodshot eyes. A lonely tear escaped his eyes before he regained his composure and looked her dead in her eyes. His glare lingered a while to find even a little bit of hope but he was met with equally cold eyes that would have brought him to his knees begging for mercy if he didn't get a grip over himself.

He walked over to her and leaned in, brushing her ear with his lips, causing her to shudder with the sudden proximity. She bit her lip to hold back a moan as his breathe fanned her sensitive skin. He inhaled her intoxicating smell and spoke, "My little Rosa, I'll let you walk away from me today. But do not think I won't come back for you. You belong to me, and only me.

I would quite willingly tear any man apart if they even dare to lay a hand on you. I will find you, I will claim you and I will tear you apart slowly, until you fall at my feet begging for mercy."

He hesitantly backed away from me and walked away, but not before turning back and saying, "Till we meet again, love.
