The New Weapon

The halls of DWMA were full of students hanging out or just going to class. It seems it was going to be another afternoon here...Hopefully.

" Maka, have you got any more offers yet?” asked Jazzy girl .

Jazzy girl was on the DWMA’s new ranger program with her team mate Carl. To join this, you had to be partnered with a range weapon. She is partnered with Blaze. Jazzy had just gotten out of art class.

Maka sighs, ” No, and I don’t understand either. You would think they would come pouring in?”

Jazzy girl thinks for a moment, ” Could there be a shortage?” Maka just shakes her head.

“Soul likes to joke and say it’s because I’m not pretty enough.” Jazzy gives Maka a serious look, ” WTH? What kind of guy would say that?”

" Yeah I know. He’s an idiot.” She replied.

The topic was starting to bum her out since Soul hasn’t been around that much anymore.

“Hey,Maka! Don’t worry about it. You’ll find one and they’ll be a soul partner instead.”

Maka thinks about the idea and then let’s out a giggle. She could just picture Soul’s face.

“Then all I ask is they’re not like Soul with his ideas on how a lady should look.” She giggles again. ” Plus I’ll get you a Dr. Pepper if that happens, Jazzy.”

Jazzy girl laughs about it to. “Ok, deal.”

“Hi, girls!”

It was Tsubaki, who was just coming out of her cooking class. ” Did I miss anything?”

" No, we were just talking about Soul.” repiled Maka.

“Yeah, and how much of an idiot he is.” added Jazzy girl.

Tsubaki giggles and then decides to tell them some news. There had been rumors going around DWMA about a new student weapon.

“Anyway, have you girls heard the news?”

" What news?” Both girls replied. Tsubaki looks around to see if Black star was near and then whispers.

“That there is a new weapon that started here today.” The girls were surprised.

" Is the new student male or female?” asked Jazzy girl.

" Whats the weapon type too?” added Maka.

Tsubaki thought about this for a moment. She heard something about a dagger, but really wasn’t sure so she replied. ” I heard mix things about the type, but I do know it’s a male.”

Maka now had a bum look on her face again. “Just great.”

“What’s wrong Maka?” asked Tsubaki.

" It’s just another male who wants a pretty girl for a partner...unless he’s a rare guy like Blaze.” Maka replied.

" That’s nice of you to say, Maka.” replied Jazzy girl. ” But as I said before, your next partner will make Soul fall on his butt.”

Maka and Tsubaki both giggle at Jazzy girl’s remark.

Then Maka replies ” But we don’t even know the type he is and I doubt he’s a scythe.”

" Tsubaki, can’t you tell what kind of weapon he is?” asked Jazzy girl.

" I can. But I would have to see him at least.” She replied.

As the ladies come up closer to the music room, they spot Blaze coming out. Jazzy girl smiles and head over to see him with the other two ladies following right behind her. Jazzy girl gives Blaze a hug.

" Hey, sweetheart!” He then kisses her on the cheek.

Maka tries to make the most of it and smiles.

She whispers to Tsubaki, ” Why can’t Soul be like that with our partnership?”

Tsubaki looks at Maka confused,” why do you have a crush on him?”

Maka give Taubaki a look, ” Really?” Tsubaki then blushs. Maka see her reaction and then sighs, ” No, Taubaki I don’t . I just wish he cared about our partnership is all.”

Tsubaki then gives her friend a confused look, ” What makes you think he doesn’t care?”

" Just the way he’s been acting lately. Plus we don’t really do missions any more together.”

“Seriously?” asked Tsubaki.

The girls look over to see that Jazzy girl was still talking to Blaze, who was blushing it seems.

“Awww! That’s cute!” replied Tsubaki.

Maka sighs, " At least she never has to worry about him leaving.”

Tsubaki looks at Maka. ” Maybe there’s a scythe like that looking for you and you just don’t know it.”

Maka thought about what Tsubaki said. She did recall a scythe she met when she was five. The scythe back then was only the size of am axe and it’s colors were black and light green. It was also had a double blade that make howling and barking noises (which was odd). Another odd thing was it could also move on its own without a meister. For all, Maka knew it was the real reason she became a scythe meister because she had fallen in love with it. Being like her mother was just the excuse she use to hide it from her dad and Soul. Though she did have to at least to a death scythe to throw people off:) Maka wanted to be the frist meister to use a double blade scythe but the problem is no one but her has ever seen one. Maka gets out of thought and laughs.

“What’s so funny!” asked Tsubaki.

" Nothing really, Tsubaki. It’s just if there is he better not keep me waiting to long.” Maka replied. Tsubaki them smiles and then sees Maka looking at the floor.

“Besides I even heard rumors about Soul finding another partner...but I’m not sure if that’s true.”

“Really, another partner? That would be strange if he hasn’t told you about it?” Tsubaki replied.

“Yeah, but it wouldn’t surprised me either. He has been getting alot of offers.”

Maka and Tsubaki look over to see Blaze and Jazzy girl heading over towards them.

“So, I heard you gals want to meet the new student?” said Blaze.

“We do. Have you met him, Blaze?” asked Tsubaki. Blaze laughs, ” Yeah, I have music class with him.” Maka was now interested.“Really? What does he play?” asked Maka. Just at that moment, the new student comes out of the class room.“Well, speak of the devil.” said Blaze .

The student was about ′ 61′ with a light green H in his bangs while the rest of his hair was black. He was the same body type as Blaze. The ladies stood there with their jaws dropped. “Oh, dear god!” thought the girls. He was amazingly good looking and the green eyes...

" Hey, man. How’s it going? The new student replied. The girls almost fainted. Blaze notices and laughs then looks at the new student. ” Good man. Hey, if you got got a min, I have some ladies here that like to meet you?”

" For you, bro. sure.”

“Sweet, this lady is my partner Jazzy girl.” The new student looks at her then at Blaze. ” I see. So, this is the one your were talking about?′ Blaze then nods to Hex. ” Yeah. Jazzy this is Hex.”

" Hi, Hex. It’s nice to meet you.” Hope your day has been going well.” Hex shakes her hand. ” Thank you, Jazzy. It has. Blaze is a lucky guy.” Jazzy girl blushes from Hex’s remark.” Sure am.” Blaze smiles.

Jazzy blushes, ” Oh...Thank you, Hex.”

Next Blaze goes over to Tsubaki. She sensed the type of weapon he is and couldn’t believe it.

" This lovely lady is Black Star’s partner, Tsubaki.”

" Well, Hello never met a shadow weapon before. That is what you are right?”

She smiles, ” Right, but your a...this can’t be right?”

Hex laughs, ” I assure you...your senses are right Ms. Tsubaki. My names Hex.”

She smiles back. ” Nice to finally meet you Hex. He returns the smile.

When the guys came upon Maka, Hex just stood there in complete silence as if trying not to scare off a deer. She looked a lot like the girl he knew when he was younger.

" Last is our little lady, Maka. She’s Soul’s partner.” said Blaze. Well, that was close. so she wasn’t his girl then. she had a partner. He was starting to wonder now if Jesse the girl he met earlier could be her then. But this girl looks so much more like the one he knew.” Hi, Miss Maka.” He grabs her hand and kissed it. Maka blushes and her friends were in shocked.” Nice to meet you, names Hex. “Maka looks at him still shook up a bit from the kiss on the hand and tries to hide the fact she is blushing by lowering her head.

" Nice to meet you, Hex. I hope DWMA is treating you well.”

Her friends were in complete surpise that she did not get out one of her books and hit him with it. They gave a sigh of relief for that one. Hex just gave a grin. He could see something was bothering her. He wanted to know what it was but he wasn’t her partner so it really wasn’t his concern. He gets up and dusts himself off. ” Well, It was nice to meet all of you. I’ll assuming I’ll see you guys in class. So I’ll talk to you guys later,”

" Uh, ok. But Hex where are you going?” asked Blaze. Hex snickers. ” I have advance cal, bro.” They were all surprised about that information. The weapons were more surprised though. ” Advance cal? He isn’t a scythe that’s for sure.” though Maka. Hex snickers at the looks he was getting. ” Hey now, I do beileve in keeping the mind sharp.” Their faces are now red. Hex just laughs, ” You guys...are something let me tell you.” He starts walking to his math class laughing. Maka and Tsubaki are memorized by him as he leaves which now gets Blaze’s attention and he starts laughing.” You ladies have crushes on him don’t you?” Maka and Tsubaki both blush. “Uh..He is nice to look at.” replied Tsubaki. Maka’s mouth dropped open when she said that. ” Tsubaki!” She blushes again. “What? I am just answering a question is all. Besides Maka he seemed more interested in you.” Maka lowered her head. ” I doubt that, Tsubaki. But he is more attractive then Soul.”

" Any guy is more attractive then Soul. Even Ox Is.” replied Blaze. ” It is not that hard to be more attractive then that guy!” Jazzy girl laughs at Blaze’s remark, then says ” I agree with Tsubaki, Maka.” Blaze finishes calming himself down. ” Yeah, I would agree with both girls, Maka. But you better be careful though. Hex has a fan girl club already called the Hexies.” Jazzy girl then looks over at Blaze with a hand on her hip. ” Are you being serious?” Blaze looks at his partner giving her a serious look. ” Oh..totally! The girls in that group all wear black and light green ribbions in their hair.” The girls were surprised on how fast that group formed and Hex hasn’t even been here a day. ” That sound’s so much like Soul’s fan girl group called the scarlett ladies.” Maka was an enemy of that group plus her and Ivy, who’s the group leader didn’t really care for each other. ” Soul has a fan girl group? I didn’t know that?” said Tsubaki. then Blaze adds ” If Soul has one then those girls are idiots!” Maka laughs.” Their all cheerleaders.” Blaze rolls his eyes. ” See, what I tell ya?” Tsubaki looks at the floor and asks Blaze. ” Then what does Hex have?” Blazes gives her one of his smirks. ” He has emo and goth gals.” Maka now rolls her eyes. “Now we have rival groups. Like we really needed one of those.” Blaze starts to laugh. ” Well, it will make it more of an interesting school year.” The girls then nod in agreement as they were walking to class.
