Preface
“I dare you to kiss him.” smirked my best friend Alison. As I followed her outstretched hand, my eyes laid eyes on a guy that was wearing a leather jacket, and brown hair that waved towards his shoulders. I’ve never seen him before, does he even go to school with us?
“Him?” I questioned.
“Yes.” she replied while laughing.
I got up from the circle of us that were playing truth or dare and made my way over to my victim to kiss. I tapped him on his shoulder for him to turn around. Once he faced me, I grabbed his face and smashed my lips to his. Little did I know that this dare to kiss a stranger would be the best kiss I’ve ever had in my life.
You know when you kiss someone and you feel those sparks, the emotion you feel that you are connecting as one with that person, that amazing feeling that puts butterflies in your stomach? Yeah, this strange guy I didn’t even know gave me those feelings and I didn’t know that you can feel all that to a complete stranger.
Just this simple kiss changed my life forever.
Meet Madi; she’s a senior in high school, the schools varsity basketball captain, works at the local diner, and pleases her parents by being the person she doesn’t want to be. Little did her parents know that she wants to make music and sing. But can she continue living in the dark or have the confidence to tell her parents that the life she’s living now makes her unhappy.
Meet “Wes” Wesley; a senior in high school, is in a band with his buddies, rides a motorcycle and wears a leather jacket. He’s really smart, yet people suspect otherwise because the school thinks he’s dangerous because he has anger issues. He gets really angry quickly because his home life isn’t all that great. He has a little sister who’s six years old and has to take care of her while his parents bicker non stop not realizing they have kids anymore.
Just A Kiss is about two strangers who simply fall in love after one simple kiss that either of them can’t stop thinking about. Little did they realize that they both had a lot in common and helped each other out to have confidence to be their true self.
