Chapter 1
The gibbous-moon glowed vibrate with light, peaking through the windows onto my bed. The shadows of the night didn't affect me as it would others. I was alone in my room, only with the moonlight as company. Everyone else in the house was asleep, though I could hear my brother and his mate watching T.V in the other room.
My brother, Vaylor is the Alpha of the group. Age 18 and started this pack a yearish ago. He brought me along, not trusting my father with me. Or the other male-wolves in our old pack. Vaylor's mate is very sweet, her name is Lyan. I don't mind having her as an Alpha Female. My mom in the other pack was fierce and hated other she-wolves. Even her own pups once they were too old.
Sleep tugs at me as I watch the moonlight fade back and fourth with the clouds. Slowly drifting me to sleep.
I woke up in the morning to the smell of bacon floating through the air. I hurried up to see Lyan cooking some food on the stove. Vaylor sitting on the couch with the Beta and another hunter. I sat down at the table, silently and started eating an orange in the fruit bowl.
Vaylor turned around to check up on the food when he saw me.
"Hey sis! Good morning!" My brother called as Beta also looked at me real quick before returning back to Vaylor in their conversation.
I turned back to my orange, peeling it slowly with my sharp nails. I wouldn't have my claws because it wasn't close to the Full Moon yet.
"Come here pack-mates. Breakfast is ready and you don't want cold bacon!" Lyan called as she turned around and set the food plates and set down white, empty plates.
Vaylor and the Beta came up to the diner to eat. Beta sat on my side while Vaylor at the head of the table and Lyan in the spot right next to him.
The empty seat belonged to our Omega, Sean. Sean was out doing something, he hadn't been back since two days ago. No one would be worried because omegas usually leave the pack to go in search for a mate. Even if it wasn't mating season.
At the moment I started to dig into the pancake when the door flew open roughly. Omega walked through the opening with a smirk on his face. Vaylor stood up when Omega walked through the doors towards us.
"Alpha Vaylor, I challenge you for Alpha." Omeg- Sean said. His jet, black hair black hair waving in the breeze, that wondered through the open door. His vibrate, dark blue eyes gazed with ambition.
"What?" Said my brother. Instantly growling at Sean, his amber eyes glowed with fury.
"You are not taking my pack!" Alpha said as he stared at Sean. Sean just smirked.
"Yes I am. I will defeat you in this challenge, atleast if you accept the challenge you can go down with a fight. If you back away I still get your pack." Sean said, walking slowly towards the table.
"Now do you accept the challenge, Vaylor?"
Sean tilted into wolf form a bigger wolf than his normal wolf shape. Almost the same size as Alpha. Alpha was already a Silver-grey wolf when Sean started to attack.
Sean's snarl was unlike anything I've ever heard. It was low- lower than any wolf I've ever heard. And I should know, there were always fights in my old pack. Sean's teeth also has a green tip on them. Unnatural green.
Alpha faced at the running wolf ahead of him. Alpha growled as he lunged towards Sean. I felt Lyan stiffen behind me as Sean bit the neck fur of Alpha. Alpha growled as he through Sean off of him. But there was a deep wound on my brother. He staggered before Sean rammed into him with full force. Knocking Alph-Vaylor to the ground, Sean's eye burned with victory and determination. I felt my Beta back into me as Sean towards us.
"Anyone else want to fight for Vaylor? Beta you? How about the Alpha Female. Care to fight for your mate?" Sean said in his wolf form.
My brother eyes were half closed. He was still alive because I could see him breathing heavy. Lyan gripped onto me, I felt tears come to my eyes. Beta stayed in front of us, he may not be in any power anymore. But Beta would keep Sean away from us.
"So, I'm your new Alpha." Sean said with a grin.
A/N- Beta is not actually the Beta's name. Rya just feels like she should call him Beta because she respects him. She only calls her "Alpha" as his actual name, Vaylor is because their siblings.
