Chapter 1
Why am I here? I am so different from the rest. I have no purpose. People don't know who I truly am. If they found out I will probably be dead. That's why no one must no I have powers. Yes, I have powers. My name is Melissa Philips and I have all sorts of powers that can scare and hurt many people. I never want to show my powers. No one knows, not even my own family and it will stay that way.
It was a day like no other. I woke up, had breakfast, brushed my teeth and got dressed. It was a beautiful sunny day. I decided to go to the woods. I wanted to train with my powers. I looked around making sure no one was there. Then I let go. Plants started sprouting, I felt a slight rumble beneath my feet. I knew I could make earthquakes. But this wasn't me.
"Get to the town, there are people that owe me things" said a deep husky voice yelling at someone. I crouched down behind bushes that were close to the town. I saw these men flip over tables and ruin the produce at the farmer's market. I felt something in myself. I don't know what? Maybe it was my calling. There was a voice saying " Go save the town, you need to save the people". With that I rushed. I made a mask, so no one would know who I am.
I made it to the town. I saw one of the men walking up to some children. I used my powers, to sprout some plants to stop that man. As the plant sprouted it wrapped around the man and kept growing. "Ahhhh...get me down. Who the hell is doing this?" He said sounding terrified
"I did sir, you can't just attack this town and demand things." I said sounding very brave. I flew up to the man and punched him dead in the nose. Blood started to drip out of his nose, then I made the plant lower the man to the ground. Once he was on the ground I released him from the plant. He tried to punch, but I was to quick for him. I manage to kick him a few times. That's when he grabbed my throat and lifted me off the ground.
I placed my feet on his stomach, then wrapped my legs around his neck. I then, leaned forward as if I was doing a summer sault and got his off me. I made plants wrap around his arms so he could do nothing else to me.
Life can be complicated at times. It sometimes feels like we don't belong here. Right now I was beside the man that was trying to attack the town. People started to come out of their homes, wondering what just happened.
They started to come closer, but were too afraid to get any closer.
A few guards came up to me and that jerk of a guy. "Release this man from these plants." Said the guard angrily. "No I will not. Didn't you just see him attacking this town, with other men?" I said confidently and a bit scared. "We demand you release him at once, we can handle it." He said a little more angrily. Typical men, always saying they can do something when everyone else knows they can't.
"Well it looks like you can't handle this. Where were you when these men were coming, isn't there supposed to be guards at the gates at all times? So tell us, where were you, and if say you were there, because I know no one was there." I said very bravely.
As I looked into the guards eyes I could see the anger start to build and at that I started to fly into the sky. I disappeared and flew right into my bedroom window, grabbed a book to make it look like I have been reading the whole time
