Long-time fan!!
"I first read this on Wattpad around 2015-2016. I was still in middle school at the time and I cannot tell you how many times I came back to it to reread over and over. Clearly that much hasn’t changed since I’m back here again lol I remember the old disclaimer at the top, saying to give it some grace; you came up with the initial idea in elementary school, so your names were uncreative. I never thought that though, it was the most clever thing I had the pleasure of reading to little middle school me. I know now that the elemental powers was a pretty common trope, but the first time I’d ever seen it was in your book, so it was totally novel and fascinating!! You were so cool! And I remember you saying that, at the time of writing, you didn’t think to include any diversity in characters or viewpoints (again, you were young and writing from your own perspective lol I don’t fault you for that) and that was the first time I ever even considered diversity in the stories I read. I am not white, but I was so used to never reading about people that looked like me I didn’t realize there was another option, so that was a fun awakening for me too lol. Rereading this again in college was so incredibly nostalgic and I am so happy its still up!! I genuinely still think about it 10 years after reading because it impacted me so much. It feels a bit like you were growing up with me, both when I was reading as it actively updated, and now, looking at it as an adult. Its such a treat to watch your writing shift as you gained perspective and grew. Looking at it now, its pretty clear. (SLIGHT SPOILERS!!) Like the change from the girls Tide was jealous of in Hawaii being called ‘Barbie clones’ to a genuine fleshing out of Kenna as a character beyond a jealousy plot point. It really stood out to me. I mean, it could just be because you were writing it from a jealous teenager’s perspective, but to me it felt like I was learning too, you know? Your characters are so charming and you can see your dialogue and writing improve sooo much since Elemental. The character dynamics and relationships are super fun, and I love that in the sequel, the side characters get a little more individual attention. You’ve got a pretty big cast, but I really enjoyed every single one of their POVs and scenes! I loved getting that insight into their character and what they thought of the rest of the cast, the relationships, and whatever mortal danger they most recently found themselves in. It was fun watching things to get more and more complex, like Coal’s relationships with the newer characters introduced, Kaelum and like everything he’s got going on, Jensen’s deeper thoughts, Tide’s stubbornness addressed as more than just a cute personality trait, etc. I also love, love, love Steel and Owen! I am so glad we got to see a lot more of them here. Also your chapter titles crack me up so bad, that still hasn’t changed. I hope you’re still writing. This really seemed like a passion project for you, and you and other authors I’ve read have really inspired me to pick up writing too!! Not really to publish, but just for my own enjoyment. I really hope you are doing well now, and thank you so much for writing this and keeping it up. I will definitely be back to reread!"

"This is one of my top-favorite books ever. It's hard to make me cry, but this book was done it repeatedly, and I would stay up to 1 am reading before forcing myself to sleep and continue in the morning. This author's one of the best I've seen and I love her story. I wish she'd make more books after for me to cry over, LOL."

"So it’s gonna be hard to find a book or series to read for a while because this series so goddamn good, the characters, and progression of the story and their growth are so good. I love the diversity of the characters and how they’re all different, a lot of times you authors make the mistake of slightly copying characters, expectably flat characters, but each and every one was different even the flat characters. I’m in love with the individual problems inside the big problem, and how they all have they’re own point of view and we get to see those points of view and what the characters think but also while keeping so the story seems as if it's being told by one person. I love the action, though It does get a little confusing that's because I don't do the fighting, and comedy and snarky and sarcastic tones that come with it, love the mix of romance that's in there. The tones that you use in the books are extraordinary, it really makes you feel or at least think the same way as the characters, sad when they are, happy or confused, and the fact you use everyday problems with the mix of the fiction world is great. Like kids being kicked out of, they're homes because they're gay or part of the lgbtq+ community. "

"The whole plot and the characters are absolutley amazing. I wanted to point that out, i do not have a favourite, but for now Jensen's personality has my heart. I like the tension Tide and Coal have sometimes, and the drama around and with them, the cute,adorable moments they share. Owen is just funny, even when we were first introdouced to him he seemed cold and grumpy, like a grandpa. The author did a great turn for him, showing how much his real personality and emotions showed as he grew more attached to the squad. "

It's unbelievable I can feel the love radiating off of the characters that I have never read or seen in real life. Later in life I hope I feel the same way with the man of my dreams!
