"A very beautiful and emotional story of first love. And the author did an absolutely fantastic job in the writing of it. It took me back a couple decades and I find myself being able to relate overwhelmingly with these young people and the rollercoaster of emotions they are experiencing. "There is no grand or exciting plot. It really is just about the joys and heartaches of a high school romance, but it is so wonderfully written. Roman and Isabel were well crafted and this book made me grin at young first loves then tugged at my heartstrings painfully. The emotions jumped from the pages and for someone who usually doesn’t read romances set in high school, I was very very invested in this. I was raging at Roman one minute then cried with Isabel the next. The conflict and the pain the characters feel are appropriate for the setting and their ages. That is why this book works for me. Can’t wait for the sequel and what awaits our couple as they reach young adulthood! 💕 "
