PROLOGUE

I laid down my head on the desk, pressing my cheek over it and folded my arms around in order to block the view till my sleepy position so I could take a short nap during my Math class. I gazed around the class with a blurry vision ogling at the students. Some of them were talking, some of them were concentrating towards Mrs. Anderson, our Math teacher. I was sitting at the last seat of the third row around my fellas, who were busy talking about some party because it was Friday; obviously someone was going to throw the party but my sleep was continuously hitting me.

My eyes captured a brunette, she was sitting adjacent to my seat, ideally. I was unable to figure out who she was as her hair were blocking my view to her face. I shifted and adjusted myself in many angles to take a look of her but her damn wavy and long hair were still covering her face slightly. ’Is she new in school? Since I never saw her before,′ such thoughts were rushing through my mind.

She wore a dark brown sweatshirt on ripped denim and her feet paired up with sneakers. I thought of calling her because I was actually curious to see her.

“What are you dreaming.....Marc?” Mrs. Anderson shouted.

Which made me aware that I wasn’t paying any attention in the class. I stopped checking her out. I elevated my head from the desk and sat upright.

“Sorry ma’am, I just.......fell asleep,” I answered, setting my messed up hair which were fallen till my forehead.

“Why? You didn’t sleep last night?” Someone just interrupted, chuckling.

The whole class cracked up laughing because of some lame double meaning behind. I tilted my head to see who was he and he was none other than Lucas.

I precisely smirked, “Yeah, your girlfriend didn’t allow me to sleep.”

This line would have definitely felt like a slap to his ears. He stood up from his seat to storm on me.

But before that Mrs. Anderson accused, “Lucas! Marc! Behave yourself..... otherwise I will send both of you to the Principal.”

I apologized and was going to take out my book but I noticed that the brunette sitting adjacent was actually looking at me which made my eyes to gaze at her features very clearly but only for a fraction of second because she instantly turned her face away as I caught her watching me. I too shifted my view in my bag but was alternately watching her from corner of my eyes.

′Damn. She has beautiful lips′ I thought smiling, smugly.
