Chapter 1

I know how it feels. You feel like you don’t belong. Not in this world, not anywhere. You pass people by on the street, in the shops, in the city and you just know. Their lives are more put together than your own. They don’t need to worry or stress about where their lives are headed. They know they’re going in the right direction. You wonder how their lives seem so put together, when your life is crumbling at your feet. You lose touch, you lose motivation and before you know it you’re paralysed. Standing in one spot as time passes you by. You feel like crying, but you’re so exhausted you can’t elicit a single drop. You don’t know where to go from here or if you can put one foot forward. You’re just stuck. What you thought was going to be a good life, it really wasn’t. You want to have your life together and be good, successful and in love, but it’s not meant to be. So instead you keep standing and you wait. For someone to unstick you. This is your life.
