Chapter 1
‘It’s only for tonight.’, she thought.
‘After tonight, I will return to where I belong.’
Back to the reality she lived in, the reality that stole all her dreams away from her and locked them away, somewhere she has never heard of.
“I’ll take you away from all of this.“, he whispered in her left ear that she is certain has gained a rosy red tint to it.
“Why?“, she whispered back, leaning into his shirt to get a better sniff of his cologne.
“You deserve better than what this world has thrown at you.“, he whispered as he tightened his grip on her waist.
“This is my reality and you’re not.“, she said just before she eased away from him and ran her hand through his smooth hair.
“Goodbye.“, she said for what always felt like the last time.
She lent in for a parting kiss, when suddenly she heard someone call her name.
*Beep Beep*
“Olivia?“, said a familiar feminine voice.
“Mom.“, she groaned as she attempted to pulled her sheets over her head.
“You’re gonna be late for your internship.“, said her mother as she ran her fingers through her daughter’s strawberry blonde hair.
“Let me be late then.“, she said half asleep.
“Get out of your bed right now or I will plaster your baby pictures on our Christmas card.”
Her eyes shot open and she was out of her bed in under a second.
“Way harsh, parental unit.“, she said as she ran into her bathroom to brush her teeth.
“That’s my job.“, said her mom walking out of Olivia’s bedroom.
“Hurry up, your breakfast is getting cold.“, yelled her mom probably from the stairs.
~Time Skip~
“Hey you finally made it down Squeaks.”
“Dad that name is so 3rd grade, I am 19 years old. I expect you to treat me accordingly.“, she said oozing confidence and sophistication.
“Oh okay then, where is your rent money.“, said her father Johnathon.
“Daddy.“, she groaned.
“Ugh.. that name is so third grade Olivia.“, mocked her parents as the both smiled at each other.
“Haha.“, she faked laughed just before she popped a toast in her mouth and rushed out the door.
She made it out of her house and ran to the bus stop so she could be on time for the 7 o’clock morning bus.
After waiting for like maybe 15 minutes a bus pulled up. She hopped on her bus, paid for her ticket and sat down in an empty seat. She pulled out a book and began reading, getting completely lost in the book.
“What book are you reading?“, asked a rough voice.
“A book that you are not apart of.“, she said not even sparing him a glance.
“Come on you don’t have to do me like that.“, he said as he stared at her with a smile.
“You don’t even look that good either way.”
That got her attention, her hand immediately shot up and grabbed unto his sweat shirt.
“Look here little boy, when a woman kindly declines your offer to have a conversation. You accept it and move on with your life.“, she said menacingly striking fear into the young man’s heart.
She took a light sniff of the air.
“Do you smell that?“, she asked as she continued sniffing the young man.
He shook his head “no”
“Well that is your fear it smells delicious.“, her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she took one last long whiff of the air. Olivia pushed him away and he fell to the floor.
The bus came to a halt, Olivia walked out of the bus.
She stepped unto the side walk and stared up at the huge building.
“New things.”
Olivia’s family was made up of a long line of werewolves, that thrived through their dominance. Olivia was no exception, she expected to feel and be superior to others; with that mentality no one expected her to take the opportunity to work under one of the most influential men in the business.
The only problem was that Olivia displayed too much dominance to anyone other than her parents and grandparents. She saw her dominance as a problem the moment her wolf stopped talking to her for 3 years.
That was why she jumped at the chance to learn to be less demanding
It was said that he was a huge guy that never smiled or offered any kind of remorse to anyone, no matter the circumstances.
Olivia’s P.O.V
I walked towards the entrance of the building and flashed my card to a security guard, who let me in graciously.
“Welcome Miss Hart.“, said the guard with a smile.
I nodded my head and walked into the building.
As I entered the building I noticed it was empty, there was no receptionist no anyone. I took a seat in the waiting area, looking around and patting my feet impatiently for something to happen.
Suddenly, the most intoxicating scent filled my nostrils. I immediately perked up and whipped my head in every direction that I could have sworn I got whiplash.
For the first time in three years my wolf said something.
"Mine!"
