Chapter 1: No Crying In The Club
“Well girls, tonight I say we go to the Tabali Bar” Jaz said, with excitement in her voice.
A month in this city and we already knew where all the best bars were. Me, Eleanor Maxwell, and my friends Jasmine, Lexie and Alex moved to London about a month ago. We moved to get jobs and well, to have fun.
“Well, if you get drunk we won’t be cleaning your sick” Alex said.
“Oh Alexandra! I know that that’s not true” Jazmine giggled.
Jaz has a big personality. She has lots of energy and always stands up for what she believes in. Alexandra, who hates being called that, is caring and also quite feisty. Then there’s Lexie, who is super kind and hilarious. These girls have been my best friends since college and we always have each other’s backs. They are the kindest people I’ve ever met and glad to have them by my side.
“I’m down to go out tonight” Lexie said in an easy going tone.
“Then that’s it! We’re going out tonight and that’s final” Jaz said. Lexie and Jaz were more of the party animals. Me and Alex were more than happy watching a romcom whilst eating a packet of crisps on a Friday night. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t like a good party now and then.
The club was packed and the ques were longer than Oxford Street. I could already hear post malone blaring out from inside the club.
Fortunately, Jaz managed to work her magic to get us inside the club without waiting in that terribly long que.
We went straight to the bar as soon as we entered the club. It was packed. I felt a little anxious in between all of these people.
“Vodka and coke, please” I answer to the bartender.
2 hour later...
After an hour Jaz and Lexie were already drunk, and in 2 we were all dancing effortlessly.
“I think it’s tiime for another drinkk” Lexie says, her words slured due to the influence of alcohol (don’t drink kids).
Following Lexie’s request, me and Alex went to the bar.
“How many more before should call it a night?” Alex asked with a slight smile on her face.
We ordered our drinks then somebody caught Alex’s eye. “Wow!” Alex says in excitement “Len (p.s. Len is a nickname) I think I just found you a boyfriend!”
I looked over beside Alex to see this man who looked like he was made by the gods. He had dark brown hair, almost black, deep blue eyes and a sharp jawline that looked as if someone had hand carved it from scratch.
“Len..Len..Eleanor Maxwell!” Alex shouted.
“Wha..What?” I replied.
“Wow, Eleanor Maxwell lost in the sights of a man! That’s the first” Alex said with a giggle. I never really take notice of guys. Mainly because I’m not really interested in heartbreak therefore not really interested in falling in love. But that doesn’t mean I like to have a little fun from time to time!
“Just because he looks like a Greek God doesn’t mean I’m going to be drawling over him” I said as I took my eyes off of that guy and placed them on Alex again. Also Alex has a boyfriend which is why she didn’t take two looks at this guy.
Before we left the bar I took one more look at the mysterious, good looking guy a couple of metres away from me. Who was this guy and where that hell did he come from?
Crap! He’s looking at me and I was staring at him. He gave me a mischievous grin which sent shivers down my spine.
30 minutes later and we were all dancing and having a great time.
“I’m gonna get some air” I yelled over the loud beat of the music.
“Ok girl” Alex replied.
I stepped out of the club and inhaled the cold midnight air. I leaned slightly against the wall and smiled to myself. Then to my surprise a voice from beside me started to claim my ears.
“Can’t handle it, princess?” It was the guy from the club earlier.
“Are you stalking me!?” I said with confidence but on the inside I was uneasy and surprisingly my heart had a minor flutter.
“I just needed some air. Call it a coincidence” He replied also showing the confidence and cockiness in his voice. “Anyways, you’d be so lucky!”
“Seriously!” Ok I’ve had enough of this guy “Guys like you think that every girl on the planet will fall in love with you every time you give the ‘look’ but guess what, there are people who believe that the world doesn’t revolve around people like you. So take my advice, stop acting like a f**king cliché and grow the hell up!”
Yep that’s right don’t mess with me bitches! And with a flick of my hair and a sassy side smile, I walsed off back into the club.
