Chapter 1 | The Quest

Percy was confidently navigating through the familiar forest around Camp Half-Blood on Long Island Sound. His breath came out heavy as he dodged arrows and spears hurtling towards him. He was almost there. The stupid gold chestplate felt heavy with every breath he took, his boots finally met with soft sand as the scent of the lake a foot away reached his nose. He ran towards it.

“Thank the Gods,” he said cupping some water and washing his face. Half-way through the action he sensed movement behind him. His hand moved subtly to his pen on the floor beside him. He spun around and was met with a sword to his throat. Thalia had a proud smirk on her lips.

“Really Percy? You left yourself too exposed,” Thalia said. He felt the cold blade on his heated, sweaty skin. “Seeing that you saved the world I’d assume you knew better.”

Percy planted a knowing smirk on his lips. Thalia was confused. She was the one with the sword at his throat. She had the upper-hand. Then why is he smirking?

“Really, Thalia. Am I exposed?” He said and a massive wave shadowed over them. Thalia gave Percy a threatening look.

“Don’t you dare-” Thalia didn’t get to finish her threat before the wave came crashing down over them.

Percy remained dry and was bent over laughing, whilst Thalia had a furious look, dripping wet and cold. Sparks were shooting out of Thalia’s eyes as liquid fury crept through her veins.

Percy didn’t notice cause he was trying to catch his breath from laughter. The sky got dark and still to an oblivious Percy a streak of lightning stroked him sending him flying two feet in the air.

Now they were both furious with each other. But before any of them can throw the first punch. Piper was in the clearing, “Guys, Chiron is calling an urgent meeting.”

“Nooo!” Leo whined “I’m done with Quests. We just saved the freaking World. We should be on a beach with supermodels sipping fruit punch with those little umbrellas in Hawaii.”

Chiron sighed, “I know, but this is just as important. The Dark Lord is back and is targeting Harry Potter if he succeeds it might just mean the end of the world. It's too big of a case. We need the Heroes”

“What’s with villains these days trying to end the world? Where’s the creativity?” Leo says plopping down in a seat beside Piper.

“What's so important about this Harry kid anyway? Why is the Dark Lord targeting him?” Piper asked looking as deeply interested as Annabeth.

Who knew Wizards existed?

Even Annabeth seemed stumped. Which is a first.

“He is the chosen one. But doesn’t know it yet. He is a very crucial piece in killing the Dark Lord. I myself don’t know much. Professor Dumbledore, the headmaster there will tell you everything you need to know to complete this mission.”

“Where is this HogZits located exactly?” Percy asked.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is located in the highlands of Scotland, Brittian 2000.”

The cabin got silent. “We’re travelling back through time?" Nico asked.

“That’s so cool! I’m kinda liking this mission now,” Leo added.

Chiron smiled at Leo's newly found enthusiasm, "Fortunatley not all seven of you have to go. I informed the Headmaster that I'll be just sending four."

"Good, so we all don't have to go," Hazel said wrapping her arms around Frank. "Me and time travelling aren't the best of friends."

“How are we going to possibly get there? Do you have some sort of Time Travel device we don’t know about, Chiron?” Annabeth asked.

“No. The Goddess Hecate will get you there. It is she who Iris messaged me the quest. The Dark Lord is being reborn and if he does this will unleash a greater evil, no human would survive that could affect us here in the present as well. A battle is coming you have to make sure they win it. Your things are already packed. I’m sorry I can’t give you any more information. I have no idea how long you’ll be staying there. But that is all I know. Good Luck Heroes.” Chiron meets the eyes of The Seven and takes his leave.

Annabeth and Percy exchanged looks. Then Thalia broke the tense silence, “Alright let's save the world.”

Percy sighs, “Again.”
