Sun sets into the fish-pond ripples
where blissful boatmen skip. Crickets
chatter from the frangipani,
its scent sent-out like a silkworm’s silk
into the gently waning breeze. A flag
flaps solitary from the castle-wall.
And you, sat there
like a magnifying glass all the while,
distorting the world irrevocably.
