Chapter 1
The night was cold as his heart. Looking at the unsuspecting humans move and chatter mindlessly unaware of the danger lurking in the shadow.
He smirked as a female human wondered into his alley ,her small steps creating an echo in the empty street. No sound was made as the creature flopped itself on the ground behind her as he watched her ginger tresses moved to the hallowing of the wind.
Before he could attack his prey, human took out a gun from her purse. All along he had not noticed her shoulders shivering ,she was weeping in silence a tell tale sign of deep anguish.
She put the gun under her chin and took out a cellphone. It rung three times. A bored male voice answered .
"Hello..."it spoke.
"Andy, I am ....I am committing suicide ".She hiccupped.
"What are you talking about Mindy, you won't do that ,you are a coward". The voice chuckled.
The creature stood transfixed. Not knowing what to do. In all honesty he was interested in how all this will play out.
"I will". The girl said with determination. Swallowing soot she pulled the trigger.
Her body fell lifelessly to the ground. He just widened his eyes. " She did it". He murmured.
"Mindy...Mindy...It is not funny you know", Andy called the phone lying in a puddle a foot from her.
The creature picked up the phone and said", Dude...She is dead. Blew her own brains out. It was fantastic". Then he chuckled in mirth. The girl had humored him.
He bent down and moved her tresses from her face. She was a pretty little thing with delicate features. He indulged in her blood taking all of it as her heart stopped. He then injected his venom in her lifeless body and left her. He never does these types of things ,but the girl intrigued him greatly. He left whistling leaving Andy who was busy calling on Mindy's name making the hall make noise.
