I love everything about it and the moment I realized that there was no walking away from this story was when I found myself breathing alongside Lacey and muttering the few words of Spanish I caught from here during my classes. The authors writing touched me, and made me feel, like I was with them throughout their journey. Like I was apart of the family. I can say I truly admire the author, because one, she seemed a no nonsense kinda gal. And two, because of the reason she wrote. A reason that struck awe within me and immediately granted her respect. Most Realistic Novel
"I originally came from the version on Wattpad which I believe is the same as the one here on Inkitt. Since the very first chapter when I picked this book up I knew and I told @eastcoastgirrrl she'd make it big someday cuz her work is freakin awesome! The originality, the realism, from relationships to action and how Lacey became a Queen from someone who lived under Seth's mercy, is simply a work of art. Her vocabulary and imagery are flawless too. Chasing Back Alleys is one of it's kind: no typical boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love and live happily ever after cliche. It's action packed with a burst of passionate romance between Soren and Lacey. Additionally, Soren's past being revealed to Lacey makes the action packed novel a lot more exciting especially with all the plot twists in latter chapters. If this gets adapted into a series someday, I'll binge watch it for sure. Probably the best original story I read on Wattpad that's here on Inkitt now, hopefully it'll triumph as the best Mature Action novel on Inkitt too! Love you gurl ❤❤❤"

Darkly Captivating
" This book is absolutely amazing! The characters feel so real and very much their own person. They are going through hell, but admit all the chaos and violence is a twisted yet sweet romance. The detail 'breathe' and 'don't breathe' gets to me. It is such a simple yet amazing detail that is so well placed and carried throughout the book. It really sucks me into the tempo of the author and gives life to Lacey. So much more powerful than the character thinking about how their heartbeat is thundering so loud they are sure whoever can hear it. Also powerful, is the imagery. So vivid that it summons memories and makes you feel the environment. It seriously makes me remember wandering around on pavement on a rainy night. Considering I live in the country, that's impressive. This book is so good that I will end up reading each update as they come instead of letting several pile up before I go back. Wow!"
