Summary

Like zombies from your worst nightmare they laid, walked, crawled to their deaths all of them having a timer set on them. A day, a night, an hour, minutes... The Black Death had ravaged through Europe, claiming millions of lives. The second it infected a soul, it began to eat them from the inside out. Rats, they are all as good as rats...dead. The world smelled horrid with death. The ancient family Catacombs overflowed and still continued spreading the abhorrent disease. No one wanted to touch the dead, no one wanted to bury them. The gravediggers were dead. Everyone fled, except for me. I had a backup plan that was not based on personality, or the thoughts that flood my head, no it was based on my job (the one I acquired from my missing family). I was safe. At least that's what I hope.

Great Plague of London

In 1666, the Bubonic Plague ravaged through the European continent. It took the spirits of over two-hundred-thousand people. The Plague was one of the most feared illnesses in the seventeenth century, especially after the last outbreak of the Plague in the fourteenth century. A person’s fate was sealed when they were infected. The pandemic started one year prior to the year this work of historical fiction took place. London was wiped out; an entire fifth of its population vanishing in the Great Plague of London.
