Great Plague of London
In 1666, the Bubonic Plague ravaged through the European continent. It took the spirits of over two-hundred-thousand people. The Plague was one of the most feared illnesses in the seventeenth century, especially after the last outbreak of the Plague in the fourteenth century. A person’s fate was sealed when they were infected. The pandemic started one year prior to the year this work of historical fiction took place. London was wiped out; an entire fifth of its population vanishing in the Great Plague of London.
