Prologue
PROLOGUE: QUEEN’S WAR
A young woman fought the last battle, her breath running out as each time she breathes, the closer towards death. As Queen, she rises full against all odds, showing her people how much she’s willing to defend her kingdom of Arien people. The women’s jet black long hair gracefully rubbed against her soft face in the wind as she vigorously pulled her golden sword out of an enemy body. Her pale hands and silver armor covered in the bloods of the army’s men she fought. She stands looking at the corpse, lifeless and tears running down from her brown-reddish eyes. The Arien Queen didn’t felt satisfied with how everything turned out. She walked for a short span of time until death caught up. Queen Arien dropped to the sand of the open desert, closing her eyes and fingers intertwined around an amethyst crystal necklace.
Two immortal Gods, descended upon the desert from the dark starry night, looking at the child they breathed life into. The first one to touch her, Helios, god of the sun, picked the Queen up in his glowing sunlit skinned muscular arms. His soft long yellow hair brushed to the touch of his shoulders. His sister Selene, goddess of the moon appeared and caressed the Queen’s cold white cheek.
“Brother, her time is up. She gave it her all.” said the moon goddess.
“I know. I wish we gave her a more calming and relaxing life. She didn’t deserve all this.” concern as Helios was.
“There is another way. She wasn’t able to finish her reign but we can do her a favor of letting her legacy continue in the future. Let’s hope her brothers and sisters will see the leadership in her in the next life. Until then, the children, including her, shall go under a long sleep within my grasp.” In an instant, Selene touched her pale snow white hands against the Queen’s chest. The corpse’s heart glowing a bright red and purple hue. Her majesty’s body faded away.
“Keep her safe, my dear sister.” Helios said with a tender expression, complimenting his golden sun hair, curled at the nape of his neck.
Helios then ascended away leaving Selene alone to finish her task.
In a distant future, the Zodian society manage to live and survive by themselves. Evolving and changing the world around for the better or worse.
One by one, each of the twelve brothers and sisters slowly all passed away. Some were able to continue their reign by passing it to their offspring and for further generations in their blood line. Others weren’t able, leaving the palaces deserted for their people to take care of, ready for when someday they might return.
Thousands of years of reign, but now that part of history is not as important as it was then. Students at schools in all different nations still talk about the legends or myths of the twelve rulers letting the rumors or truths spread for centuries. Adults believe daily in the famous legend. Strangely, records of the Kings and Queens were lost over time. Their majesties may have disappeared but Zodians speculate maybe they don’t want to be found or what if they lost their paths?
A single zinnia flower thus blossomed outside of a young couple’s window who were identified as Ariens in the Zodian civilization. It was then their daughter was named after this flower.
