The Press Conference

I sighed, watching as the mass of people gathered around the Jeon Corporation building eagerly awaited the arrival of our new employer.

Jeon Corporation was the biggest and most influential advertising company in Seoul, they prided themselves on never settling for anything but the best.

I was secretary to the CEO and loved my job, the salary was worth all the long hours and daily demands.

I moved from England to Seoul because I wanted to do something different and exciting with my life, it took time but eventually I made my dream a reality.

I took classes and studied the language, found myself a decent apartment and then secured the job.

Sadly Mr Jeon was sick and couldn’t continue running the company, his eldest son would be arriving shortly to address the crowd of reporters.

I knew Mr Jeon had children but never met them, we didn’t really talk about our personal lives much and so I was shocked to hear that his eldest son was around my own age.

I was given information on this eldest son and also a younger one, apparently he wouldn’t be addressing the reporters with his brother but would be assisting in the day to day running of the company.

The eldest brother was Jin, twenty six and currently enrolled on a business studies course at Seoul University.

The youngest brother was Jungkook, twenty one and like his brother enrolled on a business studies course at the same university.

I was standing on the steps of Jeon Corporation with several other trusted employees standing beside me, waiting for the eldest son to arrive.

Several flashes caused me to narrow my eyes as photos were taken, I really hated stuff like this. Suddenly shouts from reporters filled the silence as a black car pulled up beside the building, I cocked a brow and watched as the driver moved around to open the rear door.

“Mr Jeon! How does it feel to be taking over the family business?”

“Mr Jeon! How is your father doing? Will it be long before he returns?”

I rolled my eyes

Savages.

I thought to myself as the reporters shouted out their questions and flashes went off constantly.

I couldn’t see Jin clearly at first until he made his way up the steps and arrived at the podium, I was surprised at how attractive he was.

Extremely attractive actually.

“Morning.” He smiled brightly, resting his hands on the podium and engaging with the crowd.

“I’m sure by now you’ve all heard about my father stepping down as CEO of Jeon Corporation, unfortunately his health is the reason for this. I assure all of you that he’s receiving the best possible treatment and that myself, my mother and younger brother visit him often and we hope at this time you respect his wishes to be given time and space to recover.”

I was really impressed with Jin, he was certainly charismatic and knew how to handle a crowd. It also helped that he was very handsome, Jin was tall with wide shoulders which made him appear very imposing but there was something gentle and delicate about him. He had a very genuine smile and his eyes almost comforting, I could see why the company had picked him to address the crowd.

“I would also like to assure you that the company will continue to run as normal, myself and my brother will show this company and the staff that work here the same respect and love my father always has. My brother and I simply ask you to be patient as we settle into our new roles, we promise to keep the standard you’ve come to know and expect from this company. So with all that said, here’s to a new era within the Jeon Corporation.”

Jin moved around to the side of the podium and bowed, posing for a few photographs before moving inside the building.

I was nervous and not entirely sure why, would my job be safe? Would they like me? Would I be working for Jin or both of them?

I followed the other staff as they began to move inside and the reporters slowly began to disperse.

I was at the entrance when I noticed Jin inside talking with a younger man, his back was facing me so I couldn’t get a good look at him.

I did however notice that under that perfectly fitted black suit he was extremely well built, my eyes did linger for far too long on his thighs before I shook my head and forced myself to look away.

“Ah, so you must be Lexi?”

I finally snapped back to reality when Jin approached me with a smile, I bowed and felt my cheeks flush slightly as up close he was so handsome.

“Yes, pleasure to meet you Sir.”

Jin smiled and stepped to one side so the younger man who was now facing me could step forward.

Holy Shit

I thought to myself as my eyes fell across his form, he was handsome just like Jin and you could definitely tell they were brothers as they had the same jet black hair styled perfectly to expose just a bit of forehead.

Jin was taller yet toned with a slim build whereas Jungkook even though tall was very defined, muscular with a jawline for days.

I swallowed hard and attempted to keep my eyes on his, he looked me up and down and then smirked.....what the hell?

“Hello Y/N, I’m Jungkook.” I bowed again

“Pleasure to meet you Sir.”

He clicked his tongue against his cheek and again that smirk.....what was wrong with him?

“Pleasure indeed.”

He spoke softly to which I moved my hands behind my back and remained professional.

“I do have questions regarding my position, if you both have time to talk?”

Jin smiled and motioned to the elevator, Jungkook still had his eyes all over me and it was making me nervous.

“How about we head to my office and we can have that chat now?”

I nodded and waited for them to walk ahead, this was turning out to be a very interesting day.
