Chapter 1

The sunlight hit my pale skin, yet another day the bright sunlight blinds me, except this time it is not the actual sun.

Its a flashlight.
¨ Aunna can you hear me?¨ Jake spits at me almost too sudden. What happened? Why is everyone crowded around me? Thoughts raced through my mind as they crowd me onto an ambulance.
I remember nothing. Not even the slightest bit. Maybe I hit my head? This a way to spend my Monday night..if i`m being totally honest, I do not even know if it is Monday.
I open one eye, to inspect where I was. There was a man sitting beside, hands pulled to his face as if he was crying, when in reality i believe he was just tired. Considering it is dark outside.
Many medical tools were in an arms reach from me, extra blankets, and medical kits were everywhere. I was not ready for what was to come. I hate hopsitals. I just hate the idea of them, it is a place where people pass away, a place where they put the sick, just a place of sadness and no happiness.
I have been awake for like 5 minutes when they pulled up to the hospital. I looked up at the tall building, I remember this place. This is where they put me when I was young and sick. The only problem is I am still sick.
I am still sick, I have cancer. I have spent the last two years in and out health care places and they have helped, but after 2 near death experiences and three surgeries you kind of give up hope.
I continue fighting because of the fact that my little sister needs me, she has no one else to comfort or take care of her.
Maddie...where is she? I thought looking around. I spotted her. As soon as she saw me awake she went full speed towards me . ¨ Sissy!¨ she screamed in worry as she ran up to me. This is not her first rodeo seeing me like this or something like this happening...sadly.
