Another Tale of Red and Blue

Summary

Aliens, supervillians, and a giant robot called Voltron. Keith and Lance were dropped into this world of craziness along with their friends Shiro, Pidge, and Hunk, the only steadfast things they have to hold on to. But Keith and Lance are closer than that, closer than 'just friends'. YES, another Klance fanfic. Sue me. Or read it, then sue me. Have fun!

Part I

Lance pulled off his helmet and shook out his short cropped hair. He grinned as he watched the others walk over from their lions to form a small semicircle in the center of the room. Shiro was talking to Coran and Allura while tapping on his wristwatch thing, or whatever it was. Lance was still not sure what they were or how they worked, but they seemed to do the trick. Pidge was also tapping on her wrist thing, probably doing some weird math thing. Hunk was talking at Pidge about something to do with food. And Keith... Keith was being Keith. Just cool and collected and still wearing his helmet and... walking away. Trying not to look flustered, Lance hurried after him, ignoring the others who followed behind amicably.

The Castle of Lions was still such a new place. The sleek edged walls and luminous blue lighting made Keith feel as if he were constantly walking through the set of a movie. Nothing like this really existed on Earth. The sound of footsteps stirred him from his reverie. Keith glanced over his shoulder to see Lance gaining on him, with Pidge, Hunk and Shiro following a few paces behind. He laughed internally at the expression on Lance’s face, a strange mix of curiosity and... something, Keith had no clue. Whatever it was, he looked clearly flustered.

“Keith, wait up!” he called out. “So, um, what did you think? Still got my slick moves?” Lance pantomimed doing something with the Blue Lion’s controls and Keith had to refrain from rolling his eyes or laughing out loud.

“Sure, Lance,” He said, turning down the hallway that eventually led to his quarters, “Whatever you say.”

Lance stood in the middle of the hall and tried not to stare after Keith until Shiro came up behind him and cuffed him on the shoulder.

“Come on man, we’re gonna go update Allura and then maybe eat. You coming?” Lance grimaced, then smiled and swung an arm around Pidge’s shoulder, ignoring her squirming away, and grinned.

“Yeah, totally!”
