2007, Delhi.
It was a sunny day in the mid-summer in Delhi and people were wishing for a bit of rain to escape from the scorching heat, yet there was a girl who was wishing that there could be a little bit more light - a bit more light that would help her to remove the darkness around her! She was sitting in a room, with red bloods coming down her hands, trying to stop the crying that was coming from her cause she knew that if he hears her crying then more likely he will come again to make her shut up and she can’t take it anymore! Death seems less painful than the hell she is living in. She was 18 years old girl with black eyes and a brownish waist length hair which was now messy and looked like someone pulled them by all their force. She was a petite girl and her chubby cheeks which has been one of most noticeable feature of hers was now spotting some nasty black bruises. She was used too to this - the beatings for her mistakes but she was not prepared for this and all she wanted was the pain to be over and so she closed her eyes....
2017, Mumbai.
A man of 28 years old was sleeping peacefully in his king sized bed when his alarm started buzzing. He without opening his eyes shut it off and dozed off in his sleep just then a woman entered his room saying ‘manik get up beta it’s already 8!’ yes he was Manik Malhotra, A 6 feet tall handsome young business man with brown eyes and a lean body, the only heir of the Malhotra’s-one of the richest & respective family of the county.
"Good morning, Mom!” Manik spoke in a sleepy voice.
“Good morning my baccha, now hurry up beta” spoke Nyonika Malhotra, a woman in her mid-50′s who was known for her humanitarian and philanthropists works. She had a certain poise and aura around her which commanded obedience from people and seeing her people get from where manik got his attitude and looks. She gave him his coffee & went out the room.
Manik finally got out of the bed and went to the bathroom for usual bathroom ritual. He just got back from America after doing a business deal and he was supposed to take a short gap from work but with the work it can’t be done. Manik came out of the bathroom wearing an ash color pant with a white shirt, after setting his hair he came downstairs carrying his blazer which was a match of his pant color.
Here in the dining area his father Raj Malhotra- a charming man in his early 60′s was reading the morning newspaper. One could say that if manik got his attitude from his mother then his personality and looks were from his father.
‘Good morning Dad! How are you doing?’ Manik greeted his father and took a sip of his juice.
‘Good morning Handsome!’ Give it to his father for giving him a big ego!
With that both of them started talking about their meetings & clients when nyonika came and said ‘No business talk in breakfast table have the breakfast peacefully least you both!’
Both Raj & Manik gave her a sorry look and laughingly said “Sorry Ma!”
Well after the family breakfast both the Malhotra men set out for office whereas Lady Malhotra set out to go to her NGO.
At the same time, a girl of 26 who was a petite woman with black eyes and long hair was getting ready hurriedly for her job. She worked as a wedding organizer, she loved to see the intimacy the bond that grows during wedding not only between two people but also the families and these is a certain happiness to help the bride to achieve her dream wedding. She was finally settled in her life with a stable income and also a good home. One thing that lacked in her life? She had no family.
She had built up a quite good reputation for herself and she got one of the biggest project of her entire career, she had a meeting at 10 am and she didn’t want to get late for that. She dressed up very simple in a white kamij. Yeah guessed it right! She was Nandini Murthy. She had an innocence about her even though she would disagree about it.
She knew if she could do this job perfectly then it would be huge plus for her career and so she left while praying to Aiyppa to make everything smooth so that she can do her job.
