Chapter i
I slammed the trunk of my red corvette closed, as my feet began to pivot to the left to get into the front seat of my car. The icy white snowflakes fell from the sky and onto my drab dark green parka as I was walking. Today was the day I would be driving from Atlanta, Georgia back to my hometown in Boca Raton, Florida. It was going to be at least eight to ten hours until I had gotten to my parents, but then again, the winter time here wasn’t exactly like Florida winter time.
As I approached the car, I open the drivers seat door, and got myself in. Starting up my car, I immediately set the air to a hotter setting so I could defrost from the cold but mildly humid air. Once I was buckled up, I started to drive out of my driveway, and I started to drive off to start getting to my destination. With a smooth drive, I turned on the Christmas station and began to listen to some Christmas tunes, as I had loved them when I was a kid.
Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, had been playing on the radio, and my frigid lily white hands had been controlling the leather bound steering wheel. I could see the vivid snowflakes setting their way upon the windshield of my car, and my windshield wipers began to wipe them off. Making my way onto the highway, I started to look for rest stops so I could stop at a Starbucks to get myself a steaming hot latte.
